Just to clarify something about that last TikTok about poor Penelope, Corsets in those days weren't shapewear - They were actually support garments! They were essentially extended bras, and were made with comfort and support in mind. Penelope wearing a Corset before 16 would be perfectly normal, like any girl wearing a normal bra. In fact, some girls would be wearing Corsets at 13! Sorry if I sound nit-picky about a meme, the fashion history nerd in me just burst out lol.

For the person who couldn’t decide being goth or cottagecore I think they should move into a cottage that LOOKS like normal cottagecore they should make outdoor spaces like a garden and gazebo everything outside cottagecore but the inside is full on goth like it can decorated with traditionally cottagecore furniture but color scheme vise all black. Then for fashion cottagecore style fashion but goth colors like instead of an ivory sundress with a black corset it’s a black dress with an ivory corset then for makeup the same style as goth like bold lips and thick eyeliner but the cottagecore color scheme with all pastels or something.

Half of me wants to live in the big city... but the other half wants to live in a moderately sized cottage, not too big but not too small, about an hour or so outside of a small town, and pick flowers and plant a garden and be a baker, and have horses and chickens and sheep, and spin my own yarn, and wear flowy dresses and big sun hats, and cook, and bake, and garden, and knit...

We sort of live off grid. We still use some electronics, but growing your own food is hard work. When I had my newborn I had to wrap her around me and while she slept I was digging, and clearing the area to get it ready for what I will be growing. Laundry you have to hand wash which isn't so bad depending how big the family is, but not a lot of people are willing to do it because it is inconvenient. I have a galvanized washboard that I use to wash all my clothes. While it's also good to cook at home it tends to kind of get tiring always cooking. Breakfast, dinner, lunch, plus make any snacks. We grow and take care of our native plants. To have a beautiful surrounding you need to take care of it as well. You give and you take with the land working as a team. It is very lovely, warm and cozy, but it's also very hardwork. I love the romanticize version of this. Where everything looks so simple like paradise. I love plants so we have them in our home and on the outside we have our native plants and some trees and soon will be planting more trees. When it rains the warmth and coziness of being inside with homemade pastries and food is absolutely wonderful. If anyone decides to plant outside of their home please make sure they are native to your area because other plants can become invasive and mess up the delicate eco system. Also weeds like white clovers are wonderful plants. Much better not to get rid of them because they are nitrogen fixers.
