Nice list. Not a big fan of indies art style myself I know the reason, so I still miss the days of big games having co-op Halo, Gears, Borderlands, Diablo, etc. Lucky some of those still do couch co-op now if Borderlands could tone down the partical effects and motion blur issues that would be great.

I had to pause the video to instantly buy Curse of the Sea Rats. As a rat mom that's always on the lookout for new couch coop games, this looks like pure perfection. It is advertised as a ratoidvania, my heart is melting away.

As a recommendation, could you make a video with couch-multiplayer online? I mean games that you can play with a friend and at the same time it's online. The only ones I know of at the moment are Overcooked and Portal Knights

Thanks! Unfortunately we only play in couch co-op and never play online so it’s hard for us to confirm if online works or not. But if we do get the chance to find any game like that we will make a video.

We did end up trying it! it did run very well on our switch, and we were actually not huge fans of it. @@UBMadaraKN Sorry, i ended up working a ton and forgot to get back to you! We never actually got to play too much Embeer Knights because we don't often play on PC. But here are a couple ideas. Two roguelites you might enjoy looking into are Enter the dungeon a top down bullet hell that is a ton of fun! Or more similar to Ember Knights Check out Conan Chop Chop. (Currently editing a short about this one) This is a 4 player rogulite base around conan the barbarian is has a cute art style and a bunch of skills to upgrade and weapons to find and use. Not a roguelite, but one of our favorite games that also has top down combat is Nobody saves the world! This one was so good in so many different ways, definitely look into it!

@@TheCo-opCompany or we could see the percentages of how many games that are released now with co-op; then compare that with how many were in the past. I'm not about that though, I'm pretty sure co-op games were much more common even 10 years ago. I won't even talk about the quality as that actually is much more subjective.

First Party Games are not needed anymore. Indies are often much more creative and have better ideas.

sea of rats gameplay is Terrible bad, one thing is watching it on a video, other is start playing it, simply awful. Me and my girlfriend stopped playing it after 15 min. We really tried.

We actually really liked sea rats. It was a little difficult to begin with but got easier as we leveled. What was your issue with it?
