I installed for 25yrs and now i sell them at my store and everyone that has bought a pair came back to get their crew a pair. The covers are necessary if you come down off the roof though.

Dont spend your$$ on these new Cougar paws...they are terribly made now....they used to be good

Cut out the front and let your toe stick out. It most likely be warm if you are on a roof anyways for any job.
