So 3 years ago I started getting this cough. The first year I seen an herbalist and she gave me a specific pinapple juice and a specific cough drops. My cough went away in 2 weeks. The next year she died and my cough came back, I tried what I did the year before and it didn’t work. I noticed the more I talked the worse I coughed. If I didn’t talk I didn’t cough. My triggers were smoke, pollen, cats and perfume. It got so bad I had to see a doctor and on that day I couldn’t breathe and he diagnosed me with asthma. I was given steroids to open my lungs and then I was given cough peels, a breathing machine, 2 inhalers and allergy pills..He put me on a regimen to take the allergy meds, cough peels and 2 inhaler in a specific order 4 times a day 4 hours apart. My cough went away in 2 weeks. The next year my cough came back. The regime from the previous year didn’t work. My doctor increased my inhaler dose and my cough went away in 2 weeks. I asked him about doing further research. So I went to an allergist. I found that I’m allergic to dust mites and oat tree. I’ve noticed that when I eat purple seeded grapes my cough gets worse, when I laugh it gets worse, when I’m outside I can talk and won’t cough. I also noticed my cough started when the air conditioner at my job came on. I’m currently on the same regime but it’s not working again so I have an appt tomorrow.

I was just given a prescription for Symbicort 2 puffs in the am and 2 in the pm..works wonders for my chrst tightness abd cough..

I think this is what i have. I don't have wheezing but my breathing is very itchy, my throat itches. Smoke, dust, fumes. I had this since I was a child and it is a problem. My teachers will tell me to get out of the room as I am disrupting and very noisy. When I was working in a company the employer is very frugal, they want to close AC early in afternoon and I keep coughing when AC is shut down I don't know why. When I was living in main city I cough alot and it's always itchy. My hives got worse probably due to perimenopausal. Doctors don't know much, they only rely on a few studies, they don't know this kind of asthma they rely on wheezing and spirometry test. LAst december I had flu and it progress into acute bronchitis. I am still coughinga little bit now. i am healing myself on my own coz doctors here are dumb. Been suffering cough asthma for years and the rhinitis, though it is now minimal because I moved far away from the dirty city. Now I have many neighbors the air is becoming polluted here, The vehicles are getting more. I notice the dirt I get on windows are much frequent than 6yrs ago. More people means more pollution. My dad had allergies too, and I have a cousin who has asthma as well so he always gets terminated due to sickness.

My 7 year old son got this cva but when we undergo checkup from his pedia.he gave only salbutamol and co amoxiclab every 8 am and 8pm in 1 week .after a week the cough is till there.

Try it for 2 weeks 4 times a day and an allergy med this worked for me but it came back the next year

I caught covid last month and even after my PCR tests were coming back negative, and after all my other symptoms had gone away, my cough remained. So, I went to the doctor and he told me he suspects I have this. I don't think he's given me an official diagnosis yet, but he did give me an inhaler and some other medication to take and it has worked wonders, so I feel like he's probably correct. My only concern is... How long will I have to stay on the medication until I'm cured? I definitely don't want it to develop into the full blown, chronic asthma. 😰

I am almost 30 , and this started with me like four years ago.. I have fits of dry cough especially at night ,spirometer test are fine ,, doctors are confused as well, ihave using montelukast sodium tablets ,,are these fine? Anybody else using these

Ok that’s fine and all but when you go to the doctor.. what are they going to do? What will they prescribe you? I’m pretty sure my mom has cough variant asthma.. but her doctor has never sent her for a chest X-ray.. he prescribes her pills for GERD which I know it’s not , and she doesn’t even think it is because she never has acid reflux.. her triggers are dry air, certain scents.. dust.. I know it’s asthma and she coughs so hard and that’s all- just an extremely horrible cough. I feel so bad for her I wish she would be more assertive when she’s at her doctors because I know she’s not on the right treatment. 😟

Normally salbutamol or steroid or combination inhaler. Also allergy medications.

GERD pills are not bad because she might be aspirating when she was asleep, also he might have prescribed her combination of steroid/ bronchodilator combination, and allergy medicine.
