Come explore one of Bali’s hidden gems, Amed, as we see if this is a place we could call home ?
We spent 10 days in this stunning local fishing town and boy did it leave an impression on us.

Places we loved in Amed:
⁃ Rimba cafe: Beautiful interior and food to match. We recommend the Asian salad and the breakfast wrap.

⁃ See you again cafe: Best place for working as the internet is amazing and you get a stunning view of Mt. Agung. Without fail Sheridan ordered the Gado Gado every time, so give it a try for a good cheap meal!

⁃ Blue earth village: We didn’t eat there, however the menu looked yummy. We did do yoga and they also offer meditation, breathe-work and sound healing classes too. It’s actually a hotel so there is a lot happening and definitely worth a visit.

⁃ Warung Dodo: The sweetest family you’ll meet! Their burgers are out of this world and for the price it’s almost too good to be true. They don’t have social media however it’s just up the road from Lipah Beach so it’s a great post snorkelling feed. This is the real side of Bali we love, good food and chats with the locals.
⁃ Tira Amed Homestay: We loved our time here! Wayan (the friendly smile at the start of the video) made us feel right at home with her hospitality. Breakfast was included and they also have snorkeling gear and scooters for rental! We made friends with Wayan and she even invited us to her wedding (any excuse to go back to Amed)

Hi Mike! Thanks for watching. Amed is definitely a hidden gem. It has so much more to offer than we could fit in the one video. We hope to go back and explore so much more. We were there for 10 days, but had some complications with work…so we didn’t get a chance to do much. But they have great restaurants, cafes, you can do day trips (too many to mention - the locals will tell you), they have a brand new gym, yoga and so many amazing places to dive and snorkel. And ofcourse the sunset behind Mt. Agung, an active volcano! 🌋 let us know if you ever head there 😊Jai and Sheridan

what wsa the internet like there?

@@joshreason9365 we stayed at a very cheap homestay, and the internet wasn’t good. But when we went to the cafes and restaurants it was perfect. Most days we worked in the cafes. It also might have just been our room was far from the router. Other accomodation might have better internet. I brought my Starlink hardware with me on the plane because I wasn’t sure what Bali’s internet was like…but I haven’t needed it haha
