Grant, you should do a series where you scout a course thoroughly, play at least one practice round, then 18 at that course to try and give yourself an idea on your score with the same prep the pros get. Maybe a trusted caddy like Wes

I was thinking the same. Most scratch golfers would be mind blown if they saw what they are capable of with a good caddy and proper preparation. The problem for KZfaq golf is that the creators feel like they have to always go for the big shots to entertain people.

Grant, I believe it would be cool to see if you can break your goal score playing two balls on every shot, but taking the worst shot. A pro once told me if I could break 40 playing “worst ball”, I’d know I was good. You’d have to make any putt twice, too. It could make for a cool video. Keep up the good work.👍🏻👍🏻

I think the main issue with playing on something like the PGA Tour is pressure and mentality. It's super high-pressure environment with, at times, your career on the line. Every pro golfer is insanely good, but it's being able to play your best under those conditions that separate them.

@chasecorrigan6596

@@steelcity4581 nope. First you have to qualify for those events. The cut line at qualifiers are 7-8 under par all the time. So glad you are getting more serious about improving not only your physical game but your mental game. Confidence is the key my man, learn your gàme's strengths and weaknesses and improve the later while leaning on the former and soak up the knowledge you acquire by playing with other quality players such as the Bryan brothers, Bryson DaBrainChambeau ànd others. With your talent, ability to teach and communicate that to others, your personality and positive vibe (you must get some from your love of reggae) the sky is the limit on growing your channel and brand. The only thing about a mulligan challenge like this is it’s hard to get over the mental hurdle of knowing you have that extra shot. Grant-if you don't mind me saying this... You play great golf. Why you should be on tour is we need more people we can look up to on tour. There are too many we can't. You're a great person and that's who I want to follow.... just like Akshay.

Nope, this is false information, you can decide and take the first or second shot.

See Hole 6, for example. No doubt Grant would have holed that longer 4 footer, but still.

I use one mulligan per 9. I don’t always use it, but it’s nice to have as an option

Played with a group a couple weeks back who hit a mulligan basically every time they hit a bad shot, then were super proud to hear they beat me by a stroke after 18 holes. Gotta love em!

We only allow mulligans on the first hole, although some may given later on depending on which player and score, but this is rare.

Grant doing his best George B impersonating with the positive vibes and I like it. Swing is good enough to play on tour. Tighten up wedges a bit and fix putter a tad. That putter looks a little short putting with a claw grip. Also get a little stronger but don’t overdo it.

It's always funny when golfers make a goal for themselves like Grant did with 5 under. I believe you subconsciously play at the level you set for yourself. Either go in with no expectations, or shoot for the stars. Grant could've easily locked in for 6 or 7 under this video. Keep up the great golf, bro!

My man Grant… I think you should have taken that Mulli oomph the 1st tee and used it on the chip shot! I can’t remember if it was Jack or Arnie but after a round after missing a lot of putts they were asked what do they need to do to fix their putting… the answer… “hit it closer”… on that chip shot… you could have hit that closer after seeing your first one and made an easy bird… more so on Par 5’s then anything of course

First hole shouldve mullied that chip. Can learn a lot about course management playing mulligan golf not to mention when to get aggressive.

Great video! I think this only proves the research that Mark Broadie with strokes grain. PGA tour professionals are leaps and bounds better with their approach shots even compared to scratch golfers. Proximity to to the hole is everything. The farther you’re off the tee and closer you are on you 2nd/3rd shots improve your score drastically

Yes. I think Grant could do pretty well with his shots off the tee on Par 4s and Par 5s, but the pros are going to get their approach shots closer on average, they're going to get their shots around the green closer on average, they're going to get their long distance putts closer on average, and they're going to make a far higher percentage of their putts that are around 5-8 ft.

It's my understanding that if you're going to use a mulligan, you must play the mulligan, even if it leaves you worse off. You don't get to choose which shot is best, and play that one.
