As someone who grew up with liv dolls, I can understand your thoughts and opinions about the possibilities that can happen if this doll line were to ever get a reboot. I know some reboots can be good but I appreciate that you looked at the bigger picture of why they didn’t last long. I agree that there wasn’t a lot of diversity between all five girls with Daniella and Alexis being the only ones with a different skin color. I do feel there should have been more girls or even boys who show more diversity, not just in skin color, but in personality. Character wise they did have their own interests. From what I remember, Katie was a tomboy kind of girl, Alexis was a fashionista, Daniella was a pop star. All different but still within the range of girly interests. I feel like they could have expanded beyond the fashion and girly stereotypes. Fashion wise, they were a little excessive and a bit much but I know that a lot of dolls tend to have really crazy fashions, color pallets, makeup design, etc. but I think sticking to something not too boring but also not too crazy would work when it comes to fashion. Face mold wise, they’re the only dolls I know with very realistic eyes which was always fascinating for me to see. At the same time, a different face mold for each character could have worked instead of using the same kind. Doll lines such as monster high, ever after high, etc tend to put a lot of personality and character into the dolls and even though there was a hint of it in liv dolls, there just wasn’t very much to make them feel realistic and relatable. Kids should be able to connect to a certain doll and who they are, so there was a lack of character and personality in them. As much as I hate to say this about my childhood dolls, I really do think they deserve a reboot. Girls (and boys) should be able to connect with a certain doll and their characters in order to help them learn and grow. Dolls are what help us develop our mental state and having great characters is what everyone needs at one point in their life

I collected all of the liv nature dolls and I thought those fashions were pretty good, but other than that I agree with you!
