With its image tarnished by years of repeated terrorist attacks, Pakistan doesn't figure on many people's lists of dream holiday destinations. But that could soon change. Pakistan's security situation is slowly improving and a record number of foreign tourists visited the country last year. Our correspondents report.

Im In Australia. Visits Pakistan every year . Situation is far better as international media portrays. Avoid travelling to parts or cities which shares border with Afghanistan . Gilgit Baldistan is the must visit place . Rest of Pakistan is very safe . Punjab of Pakistan is also a must visit state.

The biggest proof for security is that thousands of chinese citizens have moved to pakistan in the last year and a half. Especially since the CPEC. I'll pay respect to people who come or came earlier to visit our beautiful country but if one doesn't want to come then i don't really care. Also, if you dont want to come its your decision and no one asks you the reason. But when you talk rubbish about my country then..... what goes around comes around. I'll say a lot more worse for yours. Pay respect to gain respect

No doubt security situations are not perfect in Pakistan but the conditions are not that bad as BBC and CNN tells you, there are some issues but they are only in the region bordering with Afghanistan.. rest of the country is secured and people are very welcoming Note : Don't consider the comments of butthurt Indians :)

I dont know about number of tourists increasing or no. But, hotel fare are sky high. $300 - $500 per night is insane price.

Pakistan has very diverse climate! One of the hottest places in South punjab and north sindh (may reach 50*C) while in North of country temperatures can decrease to _ 40*C. One of the driest places in south and also with areas which can receive 2 thousand millimetres of rain. There are almost 12 climatic regions in single country(Pakistan)

99% vlogers who visited pakistan in last 3 years gave really positive remarks, including Nora and Funforluis. Areas like azad kashmir (neelum river) and Hunza are worth visiting. Not sure if KPK side have been purely secured, because i haven't visited yet.

Beautiful landscapes... Northern Areas of Pakistan has very attractive places for the tourists & photographers. It's Heaven on the earth. Other's Must visit places are Naran, Kaghan, Swat, Kumrat Upper Dir, Karachi Beach, Lahore, and finally Peshawar where i live.
