My Dad used to get a newer Wagoneer every couple of years as his company car. The owner of his company would buy a brand new one for his chauffer to drive him to his mountain chalet and my Dad would get his old one. The first one that I remember was light green in color.

My Grandfather had one that I remember from when he first bought it from the local Jeep dealership. My uncle used it once he had passed away until the plates expire. My nephew has it now. He restored it a few years ago and he put a LS3 with a 4l80e and transfer case.

Hey Shawn, I’ve got 3 Wagoneers myself but I’ve got an 85 that has some of the cleanest, rust free floors, rockers, and frame that I’ve seen. There is a small hole behind each rear wheel but a patch panel will take care of that easily. Original engine/tranny/paint but paint is faded and needs new woodgrain but is a beautiful, solid builder. If you or anyone else is interested, let me know. Come take a look next time your in NC, I’ll hold it for ya. It runs & drives and doesn’t have a squeak in it. Regardless tho brother, I’m glad to see someone out there showing the Wagoneer some love. I’ve had an idea for awhile on the Wagoneer that I’d love to see done and a SEMA Wagoneer with it would be incredible. Someone needs to take the backseat out and install two buckets that will match the front seats and do a full length custom console down the center with a kickass stereo. An interior like that on a bagged Wagoneer that will put the rockers on the asphalt with a Hemi swap under the hood would be the baddest truck/SUV at SEMA! Damn, I’d love to see that!! PS: the NPK nova needs to stay black Shawn! The car would look incredible in white but both the NPK car & the OG car need to stay black please. They are iconic cars to the racing world and need to keep their original look please. But it’s ultimately your decision and I’ll respect that no matter what color they are but just voicing my opinion! Take care and be safe out there guys! I’m proud of all of ya!!

For your winch on the trailer, you need a snatch block and short chain to tie off to the rear of the trailer. It will keep your cable straight on the roller and pull further back so you don't have to pull up like that. If it doesn't pull the trailer a bit sideways. Self alignment I guess.

You figured out the rear license plate. It swings out so the plate is visible from the rear when the tailgate is down when hauling something in the back of the wagon. The predecessor to the Wagoneer, the Willys Wagons have a similar design.

Back in 06 my buddy flipped a 1980's wagoneer on like 33's. New years day all hung over after partying. We made it probably 100 yards from his house. Hit the limerock roads fishtailing and ended up flipping it in the ditch. We were able to push it over and it immediately caught fire and burned the woods in a 1/4 acre lot. I'll never forget it. Every time I see a wagoneer I just remember pinballing in the back seat blowing out glass with my elbows.

I love y'alls project lot. I just wish I was y'alls age and do it over. I let my friends talk me into selling my 73 Nova so his mom had something reliable to drive. My project lot had 13 Novas and a 63 Ford Fairlane. I was rich and didn't know it. Love y'alls videos and thanks for taking us along.

Shawn, I have a good set of hood hinges for that Wagoneer if you need to put another set on so you don’t bend the hood. There are good grills out there if you want to replace that one some day. I’ve got one in the shop but it’s for a latter model. Most parts were the same from 63 till 91 but the grills, lights, tail lights, side moldings, dash did change about every 5 years but all body panels, glass, etc are the same from 63 to 91. I’ve got a Jeep salvage yard close to me that has 30-40 older Wagoneer’s like this one if you need something specific. Chances are I can get it for ya from that yard

Only watched a few videos but remember you from street outlaws, literally a legend. You know the grind. Some folks just have a rough day in an office and take out their aggression on people who actually work and grind for a living and it's easy when all they do is sit behind a phone or a computer and add on the pounds. Sweat equity into a project pays off in the end and it's healthy on the body. Damn, I made this post full of positivity. U don't see them wagoneers very often anymore. My dad got one for my mom when we were kids. It was white with the wood panel down the middle. Same big giant winch. Talk about a time capsule. I'd like to have one myself. Them things r tanks. But in my neck of the woods in the cascades it would have to be lifted. Either way I'm looking forward to this build. 👌💪🇺🇸

Shag carpet, the back in the day version of lizard skin or dyna mat! It's not mine but I'd love to see it restored to original since the body and interior look fairly good or make it a modern day Wagoneer or Escalde type vehicle. Great find though!

Doesn't matter if you already own something, especially a classic or antique car.. we never stop looking. I've owned the cars i've always wanted and never stop looking for another one. Whether it's a roller, parts car, complete car.. whatever.. can always do something with it. I feel like if it's a Chevelle, Camaro, Nova.. I'd like to buy everyone that's for sale out there. You've got more than enough room now to store all the vehicles, buy them all!

The difference is when people say we built something compared to we had something built !! BIG DIFFERENCE !!
