Honestly this was refreshing. Debuts can sometimes get boring if you always know the person making a debut is just gonna win. The fact they didnt give TN an entrance just made it look even more like he was gonna lose, and then he squashed Danhausen and rubbed our faces in it and it was great. Neither of them look worse for this either because they already had a story running, and Danhausen segments are clearly great while he's outside the ring anyway. His true time in the ring will come.

The handshake that shocked the world. Danhausen showed more of Hook's human side beside his "Cold-hearted Handsome Devil" persona. Profesional Wrestling is not just about betrayal, unity/camaraderie can happen too.

Leg injury is a serious one, he's probably 85-90% a few weeks ago he did a tag match with Dan the Dad, but the setup is they Handcuff Danhuasen to the Turnbuckle like 80% of the Match, but he did perform a bit 👍 very nice, very evil 👍

@@romanreigns1p4pking55 There is no equivalent to Jake Roberts. And Mark Henry is the World's Strongest Man, which isn't something that just any wrestler can do. Hook is, if anything, his father's son. But to say he's simply a younger, leaner Taz would be unfair to the kid, because it's too early to see what direction he'll end up taking.

@@YA-ke5zg back in the day, the thought of turning Kane into a comedy act would've pissed off alot of fans. However, Team Hell No gave Kane a massive resurgence. Be unfair to just write this pairing off straight away. Normally I would not agree with this booking. But Hook and Danhausen are clearly massively over with the AEW crowd so I wish them luck and will give it a chance.

This was great for multiple reasons 1. Completely unexpected which is great when AEW is 95% predictable 2. Advances the odd couple story 3. Gives Tony Nese credibility, this is his first TV win so this helps get him over with the non KZfaq watchers 4. Overall shock value

I'm a huge Fanhausen and I hated seeing Danhausen get squashed like this. I hope they let him show what he can really do in the ring down the line, but it has to be said that he sold the hell out of those devastating running knee strikes. The man has world class wrestling psychology.

I did wonder if Danhausen was FINALLY recovered and about to wrestle, but I guess not. Sad to see him get squashed but I guess it fits with the outcome of HOOK coming to help and the handshake. Hope Danhausen heals up soon and get’s wrestling to to surprise some people!

I know I'm just echoing sentiments, but so glad they switched up what looked like obvious booking. Nese looked savvy and stong, neither man looked bad due to this booking, and Danhausen has his injury protected. It's legitimately one of the most impressive booking decisions I have seen this year. Everyone came out a winner in this segment.

Tony Nese finally getting TV time is great. He'll become HOOKs first real challenge and the perfect opponent at least for now. Then we'll get Hookhausen after.

I'm really happy AEW is giving him time to heal before a full match. I kind of hope in his first real match, he completely wipes the floor with his opponent, still being very nice and very evil...it just has to be done right so it's not just another version of Orange Cassidy. I was a Fanhausen for a few months before he got released with the other ROH talent. Super happy TK saw his potential and they aren't pushing him too fast. Probably helpful his act is as promo heavy as it is. It's kind of perfect for a Hook team up.

I think the idea of squashing Danhausen was smart as no one expected it and would need cheering up from the shock. What better way to get a loud pop. Over a handshake. Love it.

You could easily divide pro wrestling into 3 different formats. One targeted at adults, one targeted at kids as far as environment and a third that pushed the format by driving Kayfabe to a breathable place. This would be accomplished by establishing a promotion in which no one involved is 100 percent certain what’s real and what isn’t.

All one has to do is treat the product seriously. The characters must be believable. The stories need to be decent. An alright story can become good so long as the talent involved can portray that they are their character and they believe what they say. What you're suggesting would make any promotion flop that hasn't been around for 40 plus years.

As a huge fan of Danhausen I also have been a fan of Nese ever since the CWC. When it comes to treating both guys well and telling an interesting and compelling story we haven’t seen before this whole segment was incredible. Danhausen didn’t need to win he’s established himself a lot more on TV than Tony Nese has and now we’re getting Hookhausen. Life is good.

There is still the floating question of whether his leg has fully recovered, too. I think he's only worked one match on the indies since breaking it, and that was about a month ago.

I'm pumped too see how Danhuasen and Hook chemistry will be like in ring,I've seen many of danhausens matches outside of a.e.w. and Hook being tazz's son,this combo could be an oddly fun and refreshing tag team in all of wrestling 💯 but that's only my opinion on the matter

I was eighteen and graduated high school in 98, the peak of the “Attitude Era”. The crowds stopped having real passion when cell phones came around. Too busy trying to take the perfect pics or video to just mark the f*** out. The crowds back then were insane because they had no distractions. Just the show…and signs. Anyway, these two have me “Hook’d”. Danhaussen is great, love everything he does. Been a long time since a wrestler made me belly laugh. Kudos boys. Give em hell.
