Humza Yousaf has announced his resignation as Scotland’s First Minister ahead of forthcoming confidence votes.
Mr Yousaf had been battling for his political survival after terminating the powersharing deal between the SNP and Scottish Greens on Thursday.
He was facing a vote of no confidence, tabled by the Scottish Conservatives, while Scottish Labour had tabled one of no confidence in the Scottish Government as a whole, with both expected to take place this week.
Talk’s Jeremy Kyle is joined by party chairman of the Scottish Conservatives Craig Hoy.

If his first thought had been to work for the benefit of Scotland, or even, god forbid, the UK, then he may have still been in charge. Unfortunately he's been working to his own hidden agenda, and the people of Scotland or the UK couldn't be further from his mind. I hope the authorities investigate what he's been doing with SNP funds, because once again I suspect that things are amiss.

@alansmith5340 SNP started with the right idea of open government and engage the Scottish people but for some reason they appointed leaders who went down the wrong paths and it seemed like no MSPs had any voice other than the leaders path. Scotland has failed previously because we didn't have an economic plan and in fighting throughout our history has weakened any leadership . We need the right path as leaders will change but the populace can agree with the objectives and correct errant leadership. The right path is the basic path looking after core services and values and helping business create a real strong economy not some moral high ground fantasies.

I take this that he hopes at some future point to regain his political carrier and to claim that he was not voted out but he resigned for "various other reasons". The Scottish people must make sure that he remains booted out, and that the SNP will never recover after this as it is an anti-nationalist (globalist) rather than a nationalist party.
