This me playing a couple of balls on the Count-Down pinball machine in my basement arcade. The game was made in 1979 by Gottlieb and is one of the early electronic pinball machines. The game featured is owned by my son Alex and we restored it together over the course of the summer he got it. In case you are wondering the next few ball did not go as great as my second one. It still was a personal best for me.

Gameplay on this era of Gottlieb games was awesome. I played hundreds of hours on machines like this.

Had this great game! Had Gottlieb wildlife 1st, traded for Countdown years ago, got bored and traded for Track and Field- bad move Years later- now own Gottlieb Atlantis- will never sell this one

I played this back when I was a kid at the old Berlin Farmers Mkt. Hyndmans Arcade! They still have a spot there but not the same one. Only half the size of the old aracde and pretty crappy. Not what it used to be that is for sure. The days of Space Invaders, Asteroids, and pinball games like this are good to see!

Put enough 20 cent pieces into this machine at Chris' Hamburgers in Greensborough, Victoria, Australia in 1980-1982 that I could've actually bought it. It and Space Invaders.

This was one of my favorite machines when I was growing up and I spent far too many hours and too many quarters Playit but I'm planning to get one and restore it for my own arcade soon

Nice looking machine. Good restoration! I like how the machine doesn't have overpowered slingshots which send the ball hurtling in to the outlanes. Can't stand machines that do that. Also, that drain post is a life saver, literally!

I got my own Count-Down pinball machine as of a few weeks ago. :) My high score was just over 1 million, but it goes back to zero and the game didn't recognize it. Oh well... Nice playing on your part.

Great game. This used to be one of my favorites back in the early 80's. You got lucky at 3:05 when the ball cameback into the playfield.

Would be cool to have the videos you took of the restoration put together and how it went along with the kid doing the work while you play.

Great video! Im glad you got a high score on video. I wanted you to keep playing on the video so i could see the other balls and your final score. Your game looks beautiful. Did you clearcoat the playfield?

@pinballnate83 The playfield was not clear coated. I honestly don't much see the point for games that are going to be home use only of this age. The next four balls were nothing like that one! Final score was 666,680.
