I remember my father bought a custom 79 dodge van. The first mod he did was put a water bed in the back and I also remember a ceiling mirror as well. A year later my sister was born. 🤔

"The Van" is probably my favorite of your collection. I absolutely love it. My dad had a red Chevy van with side pipes, he used to take us out to the Hamptons in it for the weekends. I remember sitting on his lap and driving it. 😂 Your van is definitely the sweetest machine around and Ryan totally kicked ass on the paint. Gorgeous!

I so remember the late 70s early 80s vans, the air brushing etc , the van game was strong back then here in NY , they were everywhere! Used to know a dude that had one that was air brushed “ Honey Bear “ I can still see it in my head! Awesome!

My dad had a solid black one. Chrome mags. And red velvet inside and had a red velvet bed. He called it the shaggin wagon. Later on he had a custom sink and water tank installed so he could wash up. Across the the drivers side and passenger side had little cabinets. Love that van.

As a kid from the 70's, I remember the Van craze well and my father bought a new customized 1976 Ford Econoline van that had a couch in back, white paneling on the roof with coach lights, and red shag carpet everywhere. Danny, your van is awesome and a work of pure automotive art. It would have ruled the van scene back in the day is beyond cool.

Man, I remember when you re-did that van on your show, and the time that Ryan put in on the painting must have been a lot as the detail he put into it is outrageous! I love everything you do at your shop. I would love to see you and Chip Foose do a project together, that would be amazing, having two of the best customizers working together.... make it happen. Take Care Count.

That Van is the bad to the bone! My parents had an 82' conversion Chevy van & it was loaded & plush w/ captain's chairs & a sofa that turned into a bed w/a 305 v8. I was able to drive it when I turned 16 a few years later. I loved that van it was one of my fav rides my folks had. I was truly bummed when they traded it in. Good memories of the good ol' days, thanks Danny!

The thing now it would cost so much money just to buy the van before everything else. I had a Beautiful van I mean it was really sharp van custom threw out. And when I sold that van at the time I would guess maybe around early 80s and sold it for 35 hundred dollars and I had twice that much into it. And at that time that was good money for it. But than that why I sold it because it was never going to go up in value sold it and bought a 68 GTX that I knew I could get something back out of it. But to this day I still miss that van it was a blast what a great time.

The van is one of my favorites. Growing up we had a 67 that my Dad put a 327 4 barrel. Around 3 weeks before my 16 birthday he sold it. Ever since I have been hooked. Was even digging on the Coke a cola red white and blue van. But give me a custom van any day. Maybe not the bellbottoms . Awesome taillights

I remember this episode. This is the one where you fixed up that C-10 van for your buddy in your band. The blue van with 70s graphics. Something like he didn’t have a car anymore and thus unable to get to your gigs. Don’t remember how many episodes later, you realize his new van was way better than yours. So you had to fix up yours to match. Lol Luv this van. Luv the red, luv the silver leaf, and definitely luv the vampire theme. So badass. Great episode and beautiful van.

I'm 35 now but this mans life was always what I wish mine could have been. Metal tattoos and cars. I guess ill just be content watching from a far. Maybe one day ill save enough one day to get a ride done buy this man.

So nice. All the right accessorizes. I bet it took Ryan at least a week, if not longer, to complete the awesome paint. The only thing I seen that I question the choice of is the springy antenna. I had a couple new vans in the mid 70's. A basic cargo van in 1974 cost me $3363.00 tax and title included. It got ripped off @ the marti gras in 76. I ordered (you could do that back then) a new one with all the bells and whistles, that included a 400 cu in engine that was fast, and it cost $5250.00. Big difference in pricing from then till now.
