In externally piloted CBV when the max load is encountered the pilot pressure is also maximum that it fully opens the CBV main spool and making the counter pressure drop to the minimum(T pressure + bias springs + pressure drops).

Regarding the brake valve, you've show the motor operating in a uni-directional fashion. Would you incorporate this same type of valve on the opposing side if this motor was running in bi-directions?! And if so, would there be any additional valves that would need to be incorporated (check valves, shuttle valves, etc) to prevent cross communication with the signal lines?! Overall, this video has been very helpful, Thank you!!

the video has a very good content and many topics but why you titled it counter-balance, unloading valve only ? you have explained the hi lo circuit, circuit with accumulator and unloading ...... i suggest that re_name the video to facilitate to those who search. By the way, i searched for hi lo circuit and didn't find it, only by coincidence when i watch this video to its end i find it. In general thank you for your effort. Go on it's very good!!

Explanation was good, however, I think there is an error on the hi-lo circuit on the unloader valve. I would draw the unloader valve in a different way.

counter balance valve is one better then the other, and is there specific applicatins for each.

Can i use a brake valve instead of a counter balance valve in a cylinder descending side?
