If you watch the reload of UMP (6:03) and then double tap skip with your mobile phone (10 sec forward) the reload animation will continue to the next one almost flawlessly. Edit: You can also go back and forth while still in the reload animation.

I lime most of the old sounds more because you can hear the power behind the guns. The echoing really helped with that. Maybe theres a mod fr the old gunsounds but i really dont eant to imagine how complicated it is to install mods for cs go.

I recall watching a video (or a few) on why gun sounds in games have changed over the years. Listening to them, the old gun sounds are loud. I can imagine prolonged exposure to the sounds can damage your hearing. Newer gun sounds are now not as loud, though I also notice that the treble is much lower for newer gun sounds but has a bit more bass.

I know the old ones got changed so the guns all sound distinct, but all the new guns dont sound like guns anymore. I like how older game gun sounds are always so violent.

half of the sounds aside from the suppressed weapons were actually done right. However the Sawed-off and the Xm1014 or the bennelli m4 rather were actually given a proper update. Even the reloading sounds were actually realistic. Just a few minor soundbites are missing still from the real guns; The Berrettas dont make a click sound, the slides slam shut and you dont really cock back the hammers because the slide already reset them to that position. Also you're suppose to load an additional round into a nova shotgun and you really dont rack the fore-end at all. The slide would be reset back forward and it would push the shell into battery. Also the shotgun has to be loaded upside-down so that none of the shells fall out. Also most people dont know that the fore-end sliding mechanism isnt really spring-loaded. You have to push it forward after you pump another round. The xm1014 or the "Bennelli M4" as its properly called, must have its bolt locked back to the rear in order for you to load it and then you rack the bolt forward after you're done loading the gun. Also its another gun that has to be loaded upside-down. Also the Mp7a1 has a bolt-release and the bolt locks back to the rear when empty. Same with the MP9 lmao. And you would hear a snappy-click and a ping sound when the bolt slams shut. Its a very sweet percussive sound and its one that is being missed out in all these guns. The one thing that valve got right about some of the SMG's is that the Mac-10 fires from the open bolt. There are however alot of guns that will lock back the bolt, and others do not. Famas does not lock their bolt to the rear, AK occasionally locks back to the rear, M4 benelli doesnt lock to the rear. Steyr Aug doesnt lock back to the rear, all of the bullpup guns do not lock back to the rear. Also Its really hard to rack the bolt on a p90 so NO, you cant chamber a round with just your finger lmao. Also the one particular sound thats missing is that most of the rifles aside from the Bullpups have a bolt-release button and I dont hear it anywhere in the game. The bolt will slam shut with that pinging ring sound of the bolt ramming home on the inner-chamber. The racking the gun sounds in the pre update they got right. Now most of the gun sounds sound like cheap toy parts or a can of paint shaker lmao. Also pretty much most of the smg guns are gonna sound all the same. Any full-auto gun is gonna sound like an SMG, so the glock and cz-75 auto are gonna sound like the UMP's, MACs, MP7 and MP9 (Well actually the MP guns have a way faster firing rate, think of the Kriss vector in terms of sound and firing rate) as long as they share the similar round. Pretty much anything under .30 caliber is going to be a pistol round and it will just be a "pop" sound. Larger caliber rounds and rifle rounds are gonna sound like canons going off. They are obnoxiously loud. And also you cant be less than an arms length from a shooter otherwise you will go deaf and you will get unburned powder and hot gases and brass flying in your face. Also the muzzle flash alone is enough to blind you lmao. I have been in quite a few indoor gun ranges to shoot right next to assholes who have their stupid muzzle-brakes that blow shockwaves to your face like as if they stuck the gun literally right next to you. So anyone saying the gun sounds are realistic and are better and now have a distinct sound are fucking retards and have clearly never have held a gun let alone shoot one in their life lmao.
