Kyle went from making Rock Band/Guitar Hero videos to touring with a band. He's done well.

He was their touring drummer for a long time actually. He lives in the same city and was friends from before Kelly joined

Holy shit.. Their old drummer used to blow my mind, but this dude is so clean and hits so hard... Like there is so much energy in his playing and I love it.

Agreed. I've found that a lot of hardcore style drummers are absolute fucking monsters behind the kit. The speed and accuracy needed for this shit is why these guys can burn 500 calories in a half hour hahaha.

yeah kelly bilan was tight drummer but this Kyle Brownlee is a extreme supreme drummer lol ..

Bro, Counterparts is addictive. It's like there's 500,000 other hardcore bands out there. But this one is mine. I don't care what anyone says, I love these guys. They speak to my soul. Thanks for the upload!
@dwreck3385 жыл бұрын
Joshua Moore Yo I couldn’t agree with you more! They are my fav hardcore band. Lyrics are relatable and the instrumental parts are straight up addicting.
@Southboundpachyderm4 жыл бұрын
Counterparts is the whole reason I fell in love with hardcore. I mean I was listening to Dead Kennedys and punk hardcore, but never really got into hardcore as a genre because of my grievances with the straight edge authoritarians that bragged about beating drug dealers up (which is so fucking opposite of what hardcore originated as being the working mans music and finding comradery in the anger and frustrations of capitalism). counterparts is something completely different and so fucking real that I can't help but love every single song they have. The emotional lyrics fit so fucking well with the power and anger of hardcore. I can't help but start swinging my fists around when I hear good shit like counterparts. Counterparts I think speaks to the millennial and zoomer generations sheer desperation and sadness from a broken capitalist society that's rejected and repressed our true desires as human beings. I think Brendan speaks to that depressed feeling younger people like us because we feel angry and desperate for change, but feel hopelessly lost because no one (society) seems to care what's best for our souls and not just our pocketbooks. Counterparts isn't just hardcore music, it's revolutionary music. I consider them to be a voice for a generation, and I sincerely hope that more and more attention is given to bands like this that speak on real shit and not just booty and money.
