round 9=Toney, they can talk all the shit they want, they can think that little slap punch flurry Rahman had won him the round but thats garbage, what about Rahman rabbit punching, holding and using his elbows all fight long and barely getting a warning. Cause no heavyweight can beat Toney without resorting to illegal dirty stuff to slow Toney down as much as possible.finally a warning for rabbit punching in the 10th round, Rahman been doing all fight, probably 100 of them. rnd 10 even or Toney.

I have never trusted there punch counting, especially in Toney fights as there has been this agenda against Toney for quite some time where anytime they can steal a win from him, they have. He has lost fights because of the propaganda and agenda against him coming up in weight and not being busy enough type stuff. I have counted punches in some Toney fights where they have been far off of the actual punches he has landed. & Rahmans slap punches do not win him rounds over Toneys clean punching.

Apparently Toney hasn't landed a good combo or punch since round 2 & 3 according to Mr. announcer @ the start of rnd 8...He's been eating rahman up all fight with nice clean shots and beauty combos.Maybe not as many as they would like but hey, there is a reason Toney has never been Ko'd, because he is a vicious precision fighter who doesn't make mistakes! He counters just as often as he did in middle weight per punches thrown.These are bigger punchers, meaning slicker calculations must be made.

What people miss is that James was not as dedicated as, say a, Hagler or Hopkins. The guys they mention winning fights with there jabs, didn't just win fights with there jabs. These fighters landed a high % of there jabs, landed a high % of there other shots, had good defense, landed clean punches and also won categories of effective aggressiveness and ring generalship. not to mention, James Toney is no slouch when it comes to his jab, in fact I believe James has landed a few more jabs then they say and Toney's power jabs are more effective punches then most Rahmans jabs.

Toney is one silk defensive counter punching fighter! He has landed some massive and clean blows. Plus the guys have fought at a relatively fast pace for 10 round's. Anybody would be tired after that. If Tobey had stronger punching power.Darn!He be impossible to stop!

A jab can win you a fight if your able to follow it up with effective punches.But when your jabbing & missing your shots that are supposed to compliment the jab & your opponent is being far more precise and efficient in countering your attempts as well as coming forward successfully when they choose to; you are not winning that fight.Yes, Toney may be taking a jab here and there but dodging 70 % of them, also dodging 70 % of the other fire coming his way while landing 50 % of his is not losing
