It's not enough to just say the words. I also believe that if a person has repented, he would admit what he has done publicly and except the punishment as our laws require.

Homeschoolers can even earn college credits with CLEP tests and have that on their report cards. You are right they do not need to take a GED in most states. In the same way most public schools students do not need to take a final exam to graduate. Each state has different rules and expectations. The results speak for themselves, homeschooled students out score public school students in states where testing is required.

I have 20 years teaching experience teaching children and parents and teachers. However these credentials do not make me understand that large families throughout history have had the same “system” of having older children meet the needs of the younger ones in the family. This is not a new concept I do not agree with the religious choices made by these parents. But I find it very telling that all of their children with the exception of their oldest son have grown up in that family and have become sensible, hard working individuals who love their families. I can’t speak to the motives of the children who have spoken against their parents. I hope they told their stories to help others who might be in a false religion. Of course “reveal all” stories make a lot of money.

Actually that's not really true as none of the Duggars are at this stage pregnant unless one of the private ones like Kendra or Lauren are. Jessa has said ahe and Ben are five children and done in the past...they've had number five now. @@missg.5940 good question. Probably because I was just curious as to what the kids were up to. Perhaps I should make myself more clear. It is not the kids that disgust me, being as they were thrown into the reality show. The parents, with their antiquated ways that is a problem for me. Popping out kids like they're monkeys, and only allowed to do things the way their religion dictates, just doesn't seem right to me as I think their religion is made up to suit them. (I could be very wrong about that though.) When they first started this show, they were buying things from thrift stores, and living in a reasonable home. Then they were buying new clothes and built an exorbitant house. So the way I see it, create 19 kids and to provide for them, get your own reality show. And then it comes to light that the oldest son sexually abuses girls, with at least 2 of them being his sisters, and then, this is conveniently covered up. This is all told to me by my sister-in-law, who watched this show. If I have insulted you with my point of view, I apologize, as this was not my intent.

Jinger said in her book that she was relieved the show got cancelled (she and Jeremy were getting ready to quit), most of the other Duggars likely do not miss the show at all so in a away TLC did the family a favour
