I'm from libya and there was a leader called gaddafi it was a beautiful country but then the civil war broke out when gaddafi was shot dead by his enemy's who also wanted to be leaders so basically they're fighting over who should be the leader

@@glumacuemil When Chad adopted its flag in 1960, Romania had its cringy communist thing on its flag. So technically, that design was free when Chad adopted it, and it was no longer free when Romania re-adopted it.

You have the czech flag wrong, the first one was used in 1918-1920, since than we had similar one used today, but the triangle reached only 1/3 of the flag (called CzechoSlovak flag, during occupation we used 3 stripes, czech flag was illegal). Nowadays we have the triangle reaching 1/2. Anyway nice video 🙂

@@phismint2430 Yes East Timor is Portuguese colony, but annexed by Indonesia in 1975 during Operation Lotus (Operasi Seroja) and became at that time the 27th province of Indonesia. In 1999 East Timor was given a choice: To remain as part of Indonesia with special autonomy or to become an independent country.

no Indonesia was a former Dutch Colony In South East Asia and East Timor was a former Portuguese colony in South East Asia. According to Conference of Den Haag Indonesian territory is only a former territory of The Dutch East Indies and East Timor was not included but in 1975 Indonesia supported by Australia, Malaysia, USA invaded East Timor to prevent Communism spread again in Indonesia and rest of South East Asia CHIIW

What changed was the number of stars, which represent the states, according to the new division of the country established in the 1988 Constitution. It has increased from 23 stars to 27.

The new one has more stars in the blue circle. Each star represents one state. Some of these states were divided creating new ones. That's the reason for the stars added to the flag.

South Sudan gained independence from Sudan in 2011 and has not changed its flag since. The other flag was for the Old Sudan which is still being used by Sudan (North) now.

FYI The word 'Leste' (Portuguese) and 'Timor' (Bahasa) have the same meaning 'East' in English. So whether you called it 'East Timor' or 'Timor Leste', it's still called 'East East'. Just like its name when it's still part of Indonesia 'Timor Timur'

Seychelles flag from 1977 to 1996 looks similar to one of Soviet state Republic's flag. Just resemble green with dark blue and placing a hammer and Sickle on the upper left side. It looks so identical.

The changement in South Sudan and East Timor flags were basically the abandonment of the flag of the Country (its province, in the case of Timor) they seceded from and the adoption of an independence flag.

Libyas flag was changed in 1977 after the original flag was changed by the dictator Muammar Al-Giddaffi after he came into power. He was killed in 2011 thus the original flag of the nation was rightfully acquired.

Hondurans and South Sudan had recently changed their flags as well. they changed the dark blue in their flags into a light blue. I like the dark blue better, light blue is way to bright.
