The country with the least variation compared to its size is Brazil. Obviously there is some variation in Brazil but compared to its humongous size it's still surprisingly little. You may only find snow if you go very south to high altitude during winter months. Even the southernmost regions are warm to hot for most of the year whereas the rest of the country is just hot year-round. Not many high mountains either to change the pattern.

In late March/early April, I would be walking around with a t-shirt and shorts in 20C weather, and the locals would be wearing puffer jackets and woolly hats! I'm off there in 2 days for Christmas and New Year, it's usually very mild and sunny, although it can rain heavily at times. I was also there for 12 days last February, and it was glorious. Even if mexico has a majority of its territory covered by deserts, this doesn't equate to them being super hot year around, the sonoran desert has very mild winters but chihuahuan deserts and central scrublands get snowfalls every winter, sometimes in autumn. Central mexico has a very temperate climate, some people get surprised that vegetation there resembles more of that of PNW or Canada but with very mild temperatures. Even jungles in the south have variations, being the yucatan peninsula a dry tropical forest, temperatures get moderated by the gulf, chiapas rainforests have the classic tropical climate, being unbearable year around, thus not having as much human civilizations as the rest of Mexico.

There is a hidden sugar maple forest complete with an oceanic/ subtropical highland climate on the mountains in Jalisco. There are also firs, walnut trees, sycamores, various oaks, different epiphytic bromeliads, and even tree sized ferns. It is a relic forest that was more common in Mexico during the Pleistocene. @@CamilaMiranda3 Easter Island is indeed classified as tropical rainforest climate - not as subtropical savanna as you mention. You are mixing vegetation cover and even population in your arguments. The Köppen Climate Classification consider temperatures and precipitation totals to define climates. Actually, Easter Island was covered in rainforests in the past, but due to undiscriminated deforestation it was left empty. This is also the main theory that explains the fall of the Rapa Nui civilization.

In reality Chile does not have so much "variety" of climates. Chile's climates are precise and defined: In the NORTH: cold temperate arid (Bwk) In the CENTRAL-SOUTH ZONE: typical or hot Mediterranean (Csa), temperate Mediterranean (Csb) and cold Mediterranean (Csc). In the SOUTH: humid temperate or oceanic (Cfb) and tundra or subpolar (ET) Even so, Chile is privileged and unique in Latin America; It is the only country without a continental tropical or subtropical climate, and has the largest climatic zones in the world with a Mediterranean climate and a temperate-humid climate (Cfb) along with New Zealand, Greece, the USA (West Coast), England, Scotland, Spain , France, Australia and Germany. In addition, the Chilean desert (The Atacama Desert) is a cold-arid type desert (Bwk) like the Gobi Desert of China and Mongolia; and contrary to arid-hot (Bwh) type deserts such as the coastal desert of Peru, the desert of northern Argentina (northeastern Chaco) or the Sahara desert (Africa) Finally, the "jungles" as the narrator of the video says without specifying 2:01 are not tropical jungles, but are cold temperate rainforests (Valdiviano Forest and Magallanico Forest) but that, due to the great amount of rain that falls in Chilean Patagonia, makes There is a large quantity and density of trees and vegetation as if it were a jungle.(For more technical-climatic specifications, consult the Geodiode channel)

The three or four places you described are very specific and limited areas; that is, what we know as "micro-climates", but the determining and influential macro climates of continental Chile are those indicated in my initial comment, which is in harmony with the updated Köppen - Geiger climate models. es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clima_de_Chile#/media/Archivo:K%C3%B6ppen%E2%80%93Geiger_climate_classification_map_for_Chile.png upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/6e/Mapa_clim%C3%A1tico_de_Sudam%C3%A9rica_%28K%C3%B6ppen-Geiger%29.png The warm semi-arid climate (Bsh) that you mention is actually the dry *Mediterranean* climate (BShs) typical of Murcia, Alicante and Almería, in Spain; Greece, Morocco, Australia, Mexico and California. ((David Money 2000, Weather and Climate. Cap. 3, pag. 56, Focus on Geography - Nelson and Köppen-Geiger climate classification maps at 1-km resolution)) The cold semi-arid climate (Bsk) for the town of Huentelauquen that you point out is actually another variant of the dry *Mediterranean* which can range between the *Bsh* (the previous one mentioned) or a *Bsk* depending on whether the average annual temperature is above or below below 18º most of the year (Köppen-Geiger) The climates of those 2 Chilean islands you pointed out I do not consider them "within Chile" because they are precisely island territories (France, Netherlands and UK have tropical climates because of Guadeloupe, Aruba and British Virgin Islands respectively? Debatable) There is also another mistake: the beautiful and cliffy Robinson Crusoe Island has a definitely Mediterranean climate; specifically warm temperate, Mediterranean type, with a dry season of four to five months, with strong oceanic influence, and is located about 600 kms away from the coasts of the V Region. Rapa Nui Island (or Easter Island) is geographically located in Polynesia at a distance of 3,700 km from Chile

@@benja9602 I forgot: the climate of Valle Nevado that you mistakenly refer to as continental subalpine (Dsc) [sic] is actually the *Mediterranean subalpine climate (Csc)* This type of Mediterranean climate is “special”; It is only found in the regions of the southern Andes of Chile and the Haleakala volcano in Hawaii (as micro-climates). Furthermore, the acronym you wrote is wrong “(Dsc)”, as it refers to the boreal sub-Arctic climate, literally on the other side of the world, almost 9,573 km away from Valle Nevado, Santiago de Chile. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subarctic_climate

@@rekrapretep6657 No, Valle Nevado in winter has an average temperature of -4.1°C and in summer it has an average temperature of 11.3°C, so it is not considered a temperate climate (C), but continental (D), and I apologize because I was wrong, it is not Dsc, since the rainfall is sufficient to be a humid subarctic climate (Dfc), and the name is not essential, according to your logic then in the center of Chile there is no Mediterranean climate. because it is miles from the Mediterranean Sea.

@@benja9602 Several unforgivable errors. First, you associate average temperatures with a certain type of weather, which is a rookie mistake. Second, you are pointing out the "continental climate (D)" (sic) but the continental climate is the “generic base climate” that contains 4 types of continental climates: 1° the temperate continental climate (Dfa); 2° the Hemiboreal climate (Dfb); 3° the humid continental climate (Dfc); and 4° the hypercontinental or extreme subarctic climate (Dfd) The first, the Dfa climate, is found in the northern hemisphere of the planet; It is not associated with the Nevado Valley. The Dfb or hemiboreal climate, as its name indicates (boreal) is found in the northern regions of Europe and America. Then there is the humid continental climate (Dfc) which is located in the northern hemisphere (40° N to 70° N) and is characterized by being reached in winter by the icy winds of the Arctic polar front; This type of weather is also called “Russian winter”. Finally, the hypercontinental or extreme subarctic climate (Dfd) is a climate typical of the coldest regions of Siberia and obviously has no relationship with the mountain slopes of Valle Nevado.Continental climates themselves occur mainly in the northern hemisphere due to the large land masses found there. Most of northern and northeastern China, eastern and southeastern Europe, much of Russia south of the Arctic Circle, central and southeastern Canada, and central and northeastern United States have this type of climate, the ONLY EXCEPTIONS in the southern hemisphere, with certain nuances, are Argentina and to a lesser extent Brazil. The only possible climates for that area (Valle Nevado) are the continentalized Mediterranean climate (BSk/Cs), the continental Mediterranean climate (Ds) [do not confuse] and the subalpine Mediterranean climate (Csc), *all of which have Mediterranean roots* The subalpine Mediterranean climate is the climate that best matches the climatic and orographic characteristics of the Valle Nevado sector.

I would say the countries with the least climate variation would probably be either one of the tiny city states in Europe or either Kuwait, Bahrain or Qatar, as even the UAE does have some fairly high mountains which might harbour pockets of a different climate (if not a different classification, then at least significantly cooler). That being said, there are also Pacific Island nations which may have only one climate. I think the country with the most variation is much easier - it’s the US. But China is certainly in the running.

Canada has at least 6 different climates which might surprise some people. Yes, most of the country is arctic, subarctic, Northern boreal forest and mountains, but along the southern border it is temperate, some very small cold deserts, and northern rainforest in the west. The majority of the population lives in the south within the one hundred miles near the US, where the temperate region is. If you wish to visit Canada there are warm beaches in summer, vibrant cities, maritime sailing, and of course beautiful forests, mountains, prairies, and wildlife that is easy to see. I live on the prairies and we have deer, beavers, moose, and wild geese within the city. We do need to be aware that they are wild animals and must keep safe, particularly when bears and mountain lions come near, which is rare here. For the more adventurous there are arctic ice sheets with polar bears, arctic meadows with snowy owls and actic foxes, mountains of the Klondike, beluga whales in rivers near the US, a parade of ice bergs every spring in the Eastern maritime. Canada is large with the most lakes in the world, nature parks and reserves, three oceans, and diverse indigenous culture. Plus large vibrant cities, unique French culture in areas, plus friendly people.

Brazil has diverse climatic regions. The country features tropical climates, such as equatorial in the Amazon, tropical savanna in the Cerrado, and tropical monsoon in parts of the Northeast. The Southern regions experience subtropical and temperate climates. Coastal areas generally have a tropical maritime climate. The variety is influenced by factors like latitude, altitude, and proximity to the ocean.
