Awesome job on the dressing table. It really elevated the look. Its gorgeous. You have alot going on in that room. I would eliminate most of whats on the dressing table and leave it as a place to rest the eye. Its ornate character stands on its own. Maybe a neat vase and flowers or twigs, a vintage hand mirror and comb set or collection of old natural bristle clothing brushes in a basket 😉

It's always fun. Maybe lower the mirror a bit to reflect what's on the dressed. Also a big wreath over the bed would be stunning. I have decorated lots of bedrooms...had seven once.

I love brick walls😊 That wedding ring quilt is beautiful! I had one in pink tones on my daughters bed when she was around 7 or 8, it was a single bed. When we got her a larger bed we of course had to do different bedding. I don't remember for the life of me what i did with that quilt😩 Well that was 30yrs ago so no chance of ever seeing it again😔 The quilt that was on the wall is beautiful also..i love old quilts!😊 And honestly i think the room is pretty! I love ALL the decor! I understand about the functionality of needing a dresser, but that dressing table is a gorgeous piece, the mirror is stunning!❤ From one Tammy to another Tammy.. do not feel bad, girl i can't measure either, unless its straight and the numbers are basic.. forth inch, half inch, 3 quarters inch, inch😂 I can only do basic math period, i just wasn't good in math, but i made straight A's in English!🤷‍♀️ I guess i was balanced😄 Hey whatever works & if it works then its correct.. and if God led the way it was definitely the correct way gf😁 I think you did awesome! I wouldn't even attempt it! Little tip.. next time you have a piece of wood furniture thats scratched up, rub it down with "restore a finish" before you paint it! It'll cover the scratches & polish it up, make it look almost new! It looks like A dark liquid but it goes on basically clear. I see lots of people use it in DIY projects of all kinds! Those pieces do look nice tho! Love grandmas dressing table, with the black accessories on it, pretty! I have that same old black & gold sewing machine. It was given to me but i don't have a cabinet for it. I want to find the small flat top one with the black iron bottom like yours. Cute idea laying the quilt there like its being sewn! Thanks😉 Chest of drawers is pretty & love the mirror❤ The hanging candle is really pretty!! Ohh i really love that old chamber pot!! I'm looking for A white one with the red trim,g hopefully a little red handle on the lid.. that's exactly what my old granny had & used, she had running water but no inside toilet😳 Love the baby shoes by the fan, really want to start collecting baby shoes, the ones with the little buttons are precious🥰 Love the rack with old clothing & old kids boots in the corner, and especially the one above the sewing machine with the tiny Chair added!❤ The Flags & decor is a sweet touch.The bedding is so pretty! Like the white shelf by the chair. Gorgeous trunk at the foot of the bed. Gf you did a really awesome job, love ALL the decor & how you've styled everything! I wouldn't change a thing is beautiful!! Everything looks great; the shiplap wall area is my favorite. But as you know, I love old flags, crocks, and children's clothes with black accents. I'm unsure if you have used cottage white before, but it is my “go-to” color. Now, I need to get motivated to redo our guest room.

I think you did a nice job on the room, but you “tweak” until you get the exact look that feels right. I do the exact same thing and my daughter always teases me about changing stuff around all the time in our home, but that’s my “thing” and I enjoy the different looks. ❤

New subscriber here. I love the colour of the quilt and all the decor. I have a very similar makeup dresser in one of my spare bedrooms. I put a vintage looking magnifying mirror stand on it so when my female guests come they have a place to do their makeup. 💕

I love the way you styled the top of the antique dresser with the old luggage, lace & shoes. Love the old children’s clothes. I think some old straw hats hung above the antique vanity would be perfect. Also I do think a country wallpaper behind the bed would give it that true old farmhouse look.

How fun!! I just found your channel! This room is lovely and I love the shiplap that you did. Great color too! The little vintage vanity and mirror is so beautiful! I would keep and eye out for and old large bowl and matching pitcher. They use to have them in bedrooms in the olden days to wash up. Maybe some pretty old bottles in light colors. Thanks for taking us with you on the refresh! I enjoyed it.

You've done a good job....I would suggest something that gives graphic architectural appeal for your wall above the vanity. In my bedroom I've actually put old trivets (not the kind with handles but the ones for pots) in different patterns arched over a mirror and it provides an interesting display of pattern with different kind of texture.

I never thought to paint the top of old furniture with black paint, that looks great! The only thing I’m not crazy about is the brick wall but that’s just my opinion. Happy decorating ♥️

I love everything except your mirror and pictures are too high for me I prefer eye level

First I would like to know why you would cover up the nautical window. It adds charm and extra light into the room especially when you put ship lap on that wall. All pictures, mirrors and anything else put on walls should always be hung at eye level. If you put one above the other you split the difference. So many people hang things on the wall way too high. My suggestion for over your dressing table and mirror would be a sign with gentle verbiage. So whatever effect you want the room mood you’re going for that’s what I would look for or make. 💕🙏🙏
