Country Music Legend Fishing 30 Miles Offshore!

In this episode we head offshore aboard my original 2016 37' Freeman. We have Ronnie Dunn from Brooks and Dunn out with his family. We start out catching live bait and hit the humps first. We catch a handful of blackfin tuna and skipjack tuna and then head further offshore. We find a couple small mahi and then set up for some deep dropping. On the second drift we catch a huge queen snapper! On our way back towards Islamorada we catch a few more mahi and then do some more bottom fishing. We found the yellowedge grouper honey hole and triple up! The biggest one broke off over 100' down but it floated up and we still got it! We do one more drift and get a another tilefish and grouper too. Back at home we cook the queen snapper and yellowedge grouper up! Enjoy!

Love your channel and I love fishing with you from time to time! My first charter with you was on the old B&M when the auto pilot was on the fritz and we zig-zagged all the way out and back in. Best part was we came back with a swordfish! I had to laugh because you do speak rapidly so one has to listen carefully when you talk. Snowden Dam or Centurions on Old Cutler road, back in the early 70's. That's where I had my first beer and wacky weed. Every time I hear their epic song, it takes me back to 1972. That was the hippy hangout, jumping off the bridge and dam.. Classic song and y'all did well. Kevin D your photo guy remembers the dam off Old Cutler.

Really enjoyed it Nick. Glad to see you out there. Hope it wasn’t too bad for you. You still got it obviously. I can tell you, based on my career in hearing, that if the talk fast comments are coming from folks 50 or older, they are most likely hearing impaired. 70 and older they are listening slow and most likely have hearing issues. You be you. don’t sweat it. Keep feeling better.👍

I had pretty much the same thing happen with a big Snowy Grouper off of Pensacola FL. Only difference was he still had the hook in his mouth so we got the rig back too

It was a big piece of bamboo. We’ve hit a couple pieces of debris over the years, but try to keep an eye out when running most the time.
