Lil Uzi is defiantly one of the pioneers of this new sound in hip-hop. He grew up listening to people like Marilyn Manson and Kanye West and from a young age was always intrigued by fashion. His first breakout hit was Bad and Boujee with the Migos and since then he's collaborated with artists such as Pharrell Williams, Travis Scott, Kanye West, and The Weeknd. Check out XO Tour Lif3 it was the biggest song of 2017 and was the start of a new wave of rap mixing emo and trap. Btw Uzi is a big influence of rap today he started a whole new wave of rap in 2015/2016 that blew up and he is just known for his personality and being a rockstar and his mumble mixed with melodic rap. His melodic style or rap influenced lots of artists including Juice

I think this song simulates a psychedelic trip. It starts right into basically chorus 1 and it is hard to hear the words and figure out the beat and melody, giving me a feeling of angst. This would be the come-up of the trip where you feel slightly off and can get anxious. Then chorus 2 and verse 1 would be the breakthrough of the trip. The song feels right, is dynamic the entire time, and the background vocals and adlibs have great interplay with the main vocals. My attention gets pulled all over the place, like a trip, but it feels good. Then the outro where it lets the beat play and only plays the background vocals is like the comedown. Life still goes on like the beat but life feels dry and distant like the vocals - similar to how life feels on a real comedown. (ur brain has used up all the dopamine and serotonin during the trip, that's why there is a comedown.) also would make sense with the trippy visuals in the video.
