My Mom died last year... she had only just turned 59 three weeks before she died... was the worst day of my life... I haven't been the same without her. She was my world and I miss her terribly... Came across this song and the tears just started flowing... Aaron, you have a way with words Sir... thank you for the passion you put into your music.

Nothing can prepare you for the loss of your mom. It's been almost 3 months since mine passed away unexpectedly and the pain is so deep you feel it every waking moment. There is no other love like the one your mom gives you. Your mom is your first true love when you think about it. From the moment you're born it's the first smile you see, the first warmth of being held and the first time you feel the love anybody has for you. You will never be the same after losing your mom..I know I won't be.

I wish my kids could hear this song. I'm turning 66 this year. I miss them. They were my life for years. My youngest daughter caused a huge family problem. Broke up my 36yrs of marriage bliss . They walked away 7 yrs ago with my 6 grandkids I (we) raised. My husband missed the part of the vows in sickness and health . After I saved his life not once but twice. And yes I eould fo it again. But "daddy's little girl". Got her way, one last time. I occasionally talk to my son, who's my life! He's busy with his life. But , when I'm gone, he (they) will realise--its to late. I love you son,my life line. Girls-it is what it is. To my grandkids-- rember all the goodtimes and all the ones we missed

Mr. Lewis you have made a difference sir, in my life and so many others never stop speaking out because we hear you, never stop singing because we listen. I may not know you personally but your music whether it was with Staind or what you do now in country music has helped me to know and understand that I am not alone in my pain and depression. I lost my mom 15 years ago, and let me tell you, I miss her so much, especially when I'm feeling down, wishing she was here to talk to her. I was diagnosed with clinical depression, and not having my mom here to talk to just makes it harder. I'm doing better, but there's times that I'm just down, and no energy to do anything. I wish my mom, as well as my dad were here to tell me that everything going to ok. Taking it one day at a time. Aaron has helped me through all this . Thank you Aaron, for you and your music. God bless everyone.

We lost our daughter in law in 2007. Her name was Ashley❣She went into surgery and I never saw her again. I only have my dreams of her. Most times I don't want to wake up. Six months before she died she blessed me with my first grandson. After she died and still to this day I grieve for the loss for my grandson. I look around and see women who have babies and don't take the time to care and teach the children good things. She expressed to me how she loved her baby boy. She was such a good little momma. Momma's are so important. The role of the mommas are the caretaker the teachers the ones who keep us safe. I was so blessed to have her for such a short time. I Ioved her as if she belonged to me. The pain was and is unbearable. I see her in my grandson. He looks and is so much like her. I praise God everyday because if we had not been blessed with Ashley giving us our T I know I wouldn't have made it. Momma's are so important.

Sorry for everyone's loss. My mom is still here but I can sympathize with everyone hurting. I can't imagine how bad its going to hurt the day my mom passes. I hate to even think about it but I know it's enviable and that day will come much much sooner than I want it to. Doesn't matter how old you are, doesn't change the amount of pain it will cause. I wish you all the very best and hope you have all found your own ways to deal with the loss. This song is amazing but definitely tugs at the heart strings.

Lost our mom Jan2 2011 to cancer. Her and my uncle adopted me when I was a baby. They have five children of their own... since losing her this BIG entire family has fallen completely apart 💔 Nobody does anything no nothings its like I've become a nobody to them all. Mom was the glue that held us all together! Visiting her memorial in dad's yard only brings back memories of the days she was in her bed slowly fading away. I sure do miss you mom!!!! you was the only mom I ever had! You was my only rock I had. Stay stronger then your days before 🙏

I just lost my mom a few weeks ago and I've kept myself so busy with work so I could just avoid the emotions but I guess tonight is the night as I stumbled on this with my headphones so I don't bother anyone asleep and have my moment. I wish I could go back the day before and given her one last hug before we unknowingly parted for the last time.

I lost my mom 2 months ago and it's the hardest thing I've ever been through. I lost my dad last year 1 month before mom and dad's 47 year anniversary. Mom was heartbroken after dad passed and she cried everyday missing him. He was 39 with 8 kids and mom was 17 when they married in 1976 and then my mom had me and my brother so together they had 5 boys and 5 girls. I was blessed with the best arms this song is amazing. My dad was a preacher for 64 years of his 84 years. He was 84 and mom was 65 years old when she passed. Keep up the singing cause this is the BEST!!! THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU

Nothing but HUGE respect for Aaron. Its a sad state when an alternative/ metal guy is the most underrated GENUINE country guy out there. This is NOT a disrespect to Aaron. He's amazing. I love that he smoothly and effortlessly hits the note about the 5-minute mark here. Modern country is crap. Sounds like 90s pop, and all sounds the same. Love this guy, and hope he keeps this up for many years to come. Awesome awesome awesome. He's the whole package: writer, singer, and off-the-cuff entertainer. We truly need more like him.
