Found a problem in the mapping. In the WW2 portion of the video Germany still appears to have Alsace-Lorraine which was taken by the French after WW1.

Post WW2 Germany was split in the areas of influence between the USSR, GB, France and USA. Yet, I'd agree that France was a mishap there considering the WW2 events 🤦
