Ah, I'm visiting the past, again! You'd marvel at the amount of comments of intrigue that I've received from my Windows desktop background photo of the Ole Petter-McLaren B2, along with many other photos of Aslan, and some with her Captain! She's a beauty! The "Digital Kids" these days have no idea what they've missed in the world of levers, cables, camshafts, valves, pistons, impellers, thermostats, ... Oh, someone please stop me! From the Maiden Voyage, the trials of hooligans and thieves, worn impellers and thermostats, to Pork Pies in Skipton, gnarly old Ewe trees, Kippers with toast, sausage with beans and Ales, uncounted CHG recipes, and even some tales and ventures I've yet to witness, what a fantastic voyage it has been! Thanks to the only Petter-McLaren B2 on the British waterways! Cheers for now.

Well I hope you meet some soon. I am from the US, and hope someday to meet you on the canals. The Wife and I rented a Narrowboat, though it was rightly called a Widebeam on the Thames. Since I wanted to make sure she was happy and comfortable on our first trip, I went the luxury route with it. More like a very nice European apartment on the water. One of my most treasured memories. Brought along a friend who had never been to the UK and we had an amazing time. That was barely dipping my toe into canal boating, but I am hooked, and cant wait to try my hand at a proper narrowboat. Thank you for this series, I am thoroughly enjoying it.

Used to ride my bicycle on the old towpath (later railroad) of the Farmington Canal in Connecticut. Will never happen, but the Farmington was over 80 miles long, could be narrow boated if rejuvenated. Very much enjoy traveling along on your journeys 👍

It was my 71st birthday yesterday and went for a walk along the Foxton Locks with something to eat at the Pub at the bottom. Each time through I'm picking up more of the detail of the photography and find myself appreciating your editing choices and rhythm. The details you include in the close in shots of wildlife and structures feel like where ones eye would be caught quite naturally. I lives on a huge mesa called the Llano Estacado (in south central US), where it is fairly dry and flat, compared to the seemingly lush, water soaked paradise that is your home and stomping grounds. Therefore, the shameless, deliriously wonderful, vicarious experience I get from your YT and Amazon video is just,, words fail. Thank You. I'll be watching your work over and over, off and on, for years and years. May there always be internet. (I left a somewhat similar comment at another vlog and I mean both very sincerely)

Another Yank Amazon viewer, here. I recently discovered your series while confined to the couch in a bout of despair after my position of 12 years was unexpectedly cut. At the age of 57 I now find myself without a job...it is a daunting predicament. Anyway, I watched the entire series in three days (and am now watching with my wife) and have found your FB and YT pages. It has been cathartic and interesting watching you move from near despair and fear to the confident boater and videographer you are now. From your first tunnel to the Tidal Trent..wow! I have never been to England, but have read much historical fiction based in your country. It has been wonderful watching as you cruise through areas I have only imagined in my bookish mind. I love tracking your location on Google maps. And the sound of Aslan's engine is now as much a comfort to me, as are the familiar sounds of the mountains and deserts here in Utah. I know it was not your intent, but something you said about lethargy in one of your episodes helped me get get off the couch last week. Something about not letting it get too much of a hold on one's existence and the need for a good kick to get going. I look forward to your next season and wish you safe travels...
