That’s how to run a vertical log splitter. I see these people trying to run it standing and bent over. Thanks for the video. I just bought this splitter today.

I just bought one of these 6days ago and after using it a few times and trying to split these 16"-18" rounds of this stringy poplar it twisted the I-beam! Engine would stall out and I'd have to feather the control to get through and now I see the front seal is leaking on the cylinder! The 22 ton Huskee I got would go into low-range and power right through these same pieces but not this 25 ton countyline.. supposed to bring it and the wood into the store i bought it from tomorrow.. I'm thinking I don't want a replacement, I want a refund

Sitting down on the job? Ya that would kill my back sitting down and bending over like that. I'd much rather stand and split wood like a normal position. That's way too low for my liking.

@@SpartanTrees I would say 30 minutes to an hour depending on size of the rounds and how fast I’m working

@@SpartanTrees No problem. I would think renting one would be worth it if you only rent it once a year after you accumulate a years worth of wood bucked into rounds. Otherwise I would buy it, that way you can do it little by little as you have free time
