Please look into this sponsor. Word is they are a scam. They are a company based out of Hong Kong, China. They have nothing to do with Scotland or planting trees. They supposedly "donate" money to have trees planted. I just watched a video last night about how they are a scam. Im sure you can find out more. The word is starting to spread. A few creators have stopped using them. Im sure or at least i hope more people will stop promoting a scam company to their subscribers!

You can tell Kathi and Jim really are in love with eachother and that is so sweet. They are active and they do it together. My mom was a widow at 42 and in her 60's, a mutual friend who was recently widowed asked my mom out and my mom felt awkward because they knew eachother for a long time and she knew his wife. But he said, you like to do this and that, so why can't we do it togeher? They have been togerher for more 10 yrs now and they are more active then all us kids in the family put together, lol. They hike all year round, they play golf in the summer, they play ping pong etc. The tiny home is great because it fits their personality and it makes it even more beautiful. What a great idea of lowering the ceiling so you have more height in the loft above. I am cat lover (and dog too), too bad we did not see any of their cats.

@@image0987 Awwww, Thank you so much for your kind comment. I am glad you liked it. I have had people judge saying, wow, I would never would have dated so early on. It was not a date, and it was not sex. It was much more than that and ppl could not see that. Let me tell you, if my mom did not let him into her life. She would be single still. She would not go on a dating site. That is not her and not part of her social media to ever do so. So, ppl can judge but they only see the sex and its too early I could never do that and never see the undermeath. So thank you for seeing that.

I wish I could be just under five feet instead of over six feet. Being tall is terrible! Especially now that I'm an amputee with a prosthetic leg. Life is very difficult; I love tiny homes but I'll never be able to live in one. What is really like is a completely open floor single story, just have "zones". With a large bathroom, and I need a shower bench. I use a wheelchair in my house.

Very nice to see an active older couple! They have set up their tiny and its lot to really work for them. How fortunate that they were able to form a coop to purchase their mobile home park! I hope more groups are able to do this so that they are not held to ransom by people wanting to make quick money!

Wow, what an adorable young at heart couple !! I got energized just by watching you two. Your home is adorable it looks so lived in like a home should look, not sterile. Really informative! In Florida the Mobile Home Parks are being bought up by big bucks. Lot rents are accelerating! Mobile homes that were $80K-$97K are now Over $200K and Up! I like the environment and amenities of the home and property. You look very comfortable in your location, did not see the Cats. Love Colorado, I was raised there.

Great Video wonderful couple. Very good info. Interesting there appears to be other Tiny Home places in Durango. It's scary about what is happening to Mobile Home parks. They are no longer affordable. Here in Western NY several older parks have been bought up by corporations and rents and utilities have sky rockerted. One park had disabled Veterans and Elderly who were eventually evicted.

We need this type of living in the U.K. There are Residential Park areas but most are very expensive or miles away from shops etc. this is a well thought out designed home, I love it.😊

The mobile home park co-op law is amazing! That needs to be a law in every state. These park owners are definitely taking advantage of residents. Kudos to those activists at this park that fought to give the residents a sense of autonomy. Brilliant! 👍🏻

Love it 😎 Since my darling husband died January 2022 after suffering with asbestos on his lungs I have moved into a caravan on a small block in a park with a swimming pool. I have a shower + toilet in a small shed. I cook outside & spend a lot of time outside. We had travelled around Europe a campervan for months + lived in a small flat so I am fine with a small place. I am also growing vegetables. It is cheap living in Spain so wont go back to Aussie for a while yet. Heard it's got very expensive over there & my daughters visit me here

In Missouri you cannot find a place for a tiny house to be placed. It is so frustrating when your on a limited income like myself and can’t afford expensive rent or mortgage.

I wonder if they could have kept a washer dryer outside by their storage units therefore freeing up the inside a bit more ?? Fab couple nevertheless !!! You both are absolutely awesome! Love your attitude. My husband and I are both close to your age and have a tiny home as our vacation spot. We are in Michigan and have a 400 sq. ft. place that we can go to year round. I am curious on your heating arrangement…I do not believe what you have would be sufficient in our Michigan winter months, but it would seem as though Colorado is pretty similar weather wise. How are your winters in your tiny home if you don’t mind me asking? You are both an inspiration…I am hoping one day soon my husband and I can/will be doing the same as active seniors!!! 😊

Most of the time, as long as the low temps don't dip muchbelow 30, we stay warm with just our downstairs heater. When it gets colder than that, we turn on our upstairs heater as well as our ceiling fan that is reversed to blow the warm air downstairs. We do sometimes have to bundle up with blankets and layers of clothes when we sit on the couch, can we do occasionally use a little space heater for short periods of time. But most of the time in the winter, we stay pretty cozy!

I love that there are co-ops for residential tiny home & mobile home communities in Durango! It was expensive 23 years ago when I lived there, to the extent I had to move. BUT, it’s worth living there if you’re able to and such a beautiful area. Really wonderful story of this couple!

They are such a sweet couple. I like their tiny house as well as what they have done to the outside patio area. I mostly like the living room and kitchen area. In the kitchen I was surprised to hear that they have a gas range and a electric oven, that's a great combo.

What a beautiful arial view. Much better than the average burbs. It would be great if all states allowed tiny living spaces. Can anyone give some insight as to what the problem other states have with tiny living? I don't see the drawbacks. Like it best when the tiny houses have privacy, a view, an outdoor living space, then add in outside character of the dwelling and it is like a present you want to open and would not return. 😉

I think tiny homes use infrastructure - and utilities etc the same as big houses but there is very little taxes paid on that piece of property. Communities would have more income if there was an actual house there paying property tax. That is one reason they aren't preferred - another is that campers and I imagine tiny homes are usually owned by low income people who don't have the resources to keep their properties in very good shape. These campers and tiny homes require constant maintainence and it can get expensive. We were "florida snowbirds" for 10 years with a camper in Pa and our home in Fl.We found that keeping up a camper and a campsite - maintaining it to be as nice as possible took up a big chunk of money and time and labor every summer. And our camper was brand new. So after 10 years we gave that up.

Actually, we DO pay property tax yearly and so does our co-op. And, in this case, although there are some lower income people in our park, we live in a very nice mobile home park. Part of the reason it's well maintained is because of our co-op approach. We are a community, and we care about each other and about our park. So I think you're making generalizations that don't necessarily apply to everyone or every mobile home park. And tiny houses are a totally different animal from RVs and campers. They are usually well built, in our case by a professional builder. And well maintained.

Such a beautiful place to live. I really appreciate how each tiny home is customized for each owners own needs. Some want high ceiling , full kitchens, others want a galley kitchen or big living room. With house prices getting so out of reach , I can see the possibility of owning a tiny home for myself👍🏻
