I make tteokbokki with an adapted recipe from Emmymade and I had to half some of the spicier elements but my family loved it once I could get the spice level to manageable heat for us.

I found the mild tteokbokki recipe there and found an Asian market in the town next to mine. Will be making this sometime this week. SO excited to try it!

Those colored rice cakes caught my eyes 🤤 we have desserts in PH made with rice flour called puto and kutsina 😋 but I think mostly use just ordinary flour because it's cheaper... And those colored rice cakes must be sweet 🤤

日本ではお餅と言えば、普段食べてるお米とは違うもち米というお餅を作る為の専用のお米で作るのがほとんどかなぁ。でも、私はトッポッキは小麦粉のおもちの方が好き。日本で売ってるのはお米のトックが多いかな。
