they broke up because they had just finished doing a really long, experimental album that took a year, then had to go on tour. they all started to have kids at the time as well, so they were all spending time away from home a lot. prior to that, tom started a side project called box car racer with travis, causing some tension with him and mark. you add all that with the exhaustion of constant touring, and eventually they just didn't want to make or play music together anymore. mark started +44 afterwards, travis did his own collabs and a solo album, and tom started angels and airwaves. probably after the crash and mark's cancer (and just some aging and maturity), they decided to get back together again after 8/9/10 years.

Yeah your account of their history is pretty hit or miss, Box Car Racer was between Enema and TOYPAJ, they wouldn't split until around 4 years later. Box Car Racer had caused tension between Mark and Tom. It was after Mark's cancer diagnosis that got him and Tom talking again and that was the start of them getting back together again, they talk about that in their recent video with Zane Lowe.

Yes this song got me good, even though it's about the band alot of it I felt applied to my life also as some others might. The song definately had me crying and honestly you just need to tell someone that you love them or that they are loved, that could mean the world to them or at least make their day.

"Crazy, Sexy, Cool" by TLC was the first Cassette (yes, Cassette) I ever bought from tower records as a kid. Mainly because of that song "Waterfalls" haha For the longest time, I thought the main lyric was "Don't...go...Jason, Waterfalls."

Great reaction! Blink 182 are my favourite band and even on my 20th listen this still brings me to tears- just saw them on my bday last wed at the O2. New album out on the 20th! This sound is just a one off ode to each other. Theyre back to their old sound in their other songs 'Dance with Me' and 'More than you Know'. Absolute bangers and one hell of a mosh pit maker live!

For me it was my mom i spent the last 10 years not seeing my parents because of our sorted past but when i got back in touch she died 3 months later so yeah tbis song hit me hard.
