This shattered me😭 I just think about those days when everybody used to say how cold he was and that he never showed emotion and while that was a joke for the most part, it's so sad that he had to bottle up all this trauma at such a young age. I'm so happy that he's finally in a space where he can release it in a way. This isn't the first time he's made a song about his struggles but I think it hits harder because of the visual aspect. I wish all artists in the kpop industry had the freedom to share the painful experiences they've had to go through instead of being forced to act like everything's perfect. So many of them have been lost💔

The mix of emotions watching this video is so overwhelming. It's a lot to take in, but I'm so honored to be able to be a witness to it.

It feels simultaneously weird and comforting that there is a man out there, usually half a world away, that knows exactly what the inside of my head looks like. I am so proud of him for having the courage to put himself out there, raw and uncensored, to help people achieve what he has: some kind of healing. It is so wonderful that he found Bangtan and ARMY, I think this gave him a goal and a way to process his pain. I am so grateful that he's still with us. Now if only I could stop crying.

The D-Day Trailer showing Yoongi accident, he was a trainee at that time but he also worked part time as a delivery boy because he needed to pay for his tuition fee. bighit wasn't aware of the accident since yoongi didn't tell them, where in BURN THE STAGE he confess to other members that he lied about it, when he say he fell down the stairs when in fact he had an accident. he got hit by a car in an intersection and when he opened his eyes he see the wheel right in front of his eyes. he couldn't move his shoulder. he didn't tell it to the company knowing that they'd let him go. the visualization really fits amygdala perfectly since the song itself talk about yoongi's bad experiences and trauma. his mom's heart surgery, his father's cancer, and the accident he had which he couldn't tell anyone at that time.. this is actually a visualization of what happened, yoongi whos just laying there on the floor thinking his future scattered little by little knowing he is about to lose his dream for this accident, the trailer makes me realized on how he's so authentic and so brutally honest with this, this marks as the most frightening moments of his life. And I think it's very brave of him to illustrate the hardships he went through.

My take on the almonds. 1. Amygdala in latin means almond, in greek it was ἀμυγδάλη (amugdálē), as these two clusters of nuclei in the brain have the shape and size of almonds they were named amygdala. 2. in the book Almond the boy's mother gives him almonds to eat because she thought it would help him develop his amygdala, finally letting him feel things. 3. The Last - Agust D, here Yoongi mentions that he went to a psychiatrist back when he was around 18, he assisted with his parents, the doctor in that track asks "have you ever been (censored)?" (we infer that he refers to being su!cidal, or if he has thought of hurting himself or others, bcs if you have any experience with mental health professionals this is one of the first things they ask you), he says "I answer without any hesitation that I have". Once you say these words to a psychiatrist, they usually prescribe you medication. So the pills that you see in the MV are a reference to that. Now, why use the pills and almonds interchangably? Because while the almonds in "Almond" were used to try and make the boy feel something, pills are usually used to regulate your emotions and make you feel less, but also, as amygdala means almond, we can also take it to mean that Yoongi is consuming "amygdala" after "amygdala" trying to try and fix his own which is hyperactive. The song destroyed me, but the MV completely shattered me. I've had a rough life, Yoongi is the one who I relate to the most because of it, he, in some way or another, always manages to heal a part of me with every album, song he makes.

This AMYGDALA MV by Suga is like telling about everything he's been through in the past, having been treated for depression and the 2012 accident that made his mother sick from working too much to keep up. worried about him at the time, was the line "so, is all this countless suffuring for my own good?" someone is on the ground. and near the end of the mv where suga crawls on the floor like Suga's inner self is trying to save himself and a happy version of suga is trying to save his inner self

I was in tears after listen first before check out the M/V because I was struggle kinda related to yoongi when I was like teenage age.

Just my own take, I'm so sure he self-harmed at some point, I can't forget that verse in 'The Last' where he opened up about going to a psychiatrist, and the long censoring monotone beep to the question that was asked "Have you ever ---------". At that point most people were speculating it was the doctor asking about this, and in the song he replied 'unhesistantly, I said I did it'. That was his first mixtape. Keeping that in mind, this song and mv just made so much more sense to me personally. The pen knife in his hands and the self inflicted injury. There was also a split black&white second where you can see a knife falling onto the ground in the mv. There is nothing scripted about Agust D, he isn't just a made up character, so imagine why Yoongi would include that scene. Everything in the mv was a portrayal of his actual past traumas, including him finding his mom on the ground, his accident, the pills (whether it was antidepressants or pain killers for his shoulder), him agonizing in a basketball court as the sun sets (He talked about this before in the intro song to HYYH). I cannot imagine what he went through

This song is his past story

Let's put this issue in context according to what KING YOONGI has said. the dark room is his amygdala that stores his traumatic events, such as his poverty, his accident, his depression, his anxiety, his mother's operation and his father's cancer. A few years ago he made the decision to save himself, to live without anger and frustration. The wound that he inflicts himself, are the wounds that we have throughout life, when they heal, the scars remain, the KING says that it depends on how we want to live is that we are going to treat those scars. That is why he says that Agust D dies because he himself decides to leave him inside that amygdala, he represents it to us by not being able to open the door and now he can tell his stories without courage or anger. The memories will never be able to leave them behind, because without them he would not be where he is, he is only ceasing to suffer by remembering them. We have been seeing him very playful, happy, joking because he decided to be happy and that is an action that only the brave do, on this tour I don't think only I see the enormous potential he has for everything, it is part of his gains by leaving behind his pain, I don't think he is left behind as he always did, today he knows and is aware of what it is worth and he has liked to enjoy it, that makes me very happy because he deserves it. The amount of BTS Reactioners....from young to old - who identified with his trauma...then went on to reveal THEIRS from 'self harm/cutting to Depression to .....coming close to the 'S' word. - WHILE BAWLING THEIR EYES OUT? It got so bad? Earlier this aft... saw a literal Psychiatrist jump on a well known BTS Reactioner's page in here and start calming down peeps while admitting? He - like Millions of us - cried when he first saw this song. You two are lucky you have each other while reviewing this. For the ones -alone? I BAWLED MY EYES OUT....as it dragged up my own memories at 14 yrs old....surviving a horrific attack of SA and nearly losing my life.
