I think this felt pretty accurate, especially say for a couple who just finished grad school or are finishing up grad school. I've seen similar in real life with many of my friends. It seems there's always hand me down furniture, thriftstore or garage sale finds, a smattering of Ikea, and then that one investment piece that makes you feel like a legit adult. To me, the bedside tables and frame totally looked like hand me downs from Mom & Dad but with a new mattress and bedding... the barstools & coffee table were ikea... the end tables from a garage sale... and the TV unit was made from cabinets someone was giving away after remodeling their kitchen... and as you said, the couches were that one investment that really made them feel like they were adulting. I think you nailed it personally. I do think the one thing missing might actually be a desk... a desk that looks like one of them got it when they were 9. 🤣 Maybe its just the people I know, but that feels so ubiquitous to me that its the desk from your childhood bedroom that you bring with you into adulthood.

As lovely as always, but I have to wonder how accurate this would be 🥴 In my first apartment I slept on a mattress on the floor for months 🤣

For anything that would disappear on a wall, I use very tall half walls instead, if possible. That way the cabinets, shelves, anything on them and the wall itself always stay visible no matter the wall setting. Given only a couple lives there privacy concerns would not be a huge issue.

Can you do a video on cheats and maybe mods you use for building? I always use move objects but it still has a guide to a certain extent and I can’t figure out how to raise and lower things 🥲

I actually have two ideas, which I had previously posted, but I've updated them some! 1. I'd love to see an apartment for people that are very romantic! Maybe a young couple without kids who maybe just moved in together. They might love, well, love! I think it would be cute, they may be just getting used to being together, and they would probably live in an apartment. But they are super into Valentines Day, they really enjoy pinks and reds. I'd say one of the sims is a fashion designer and the other a mixologist! It's an interesting combination in my opinion. 2. Maybe a home with either a father/mother that is in the military career and they have a ton of medals and stuff. Maybe they would have kind of a strict 'no mess' policy for their home and everything is tidy. Maybe the other parent would be like a chef or maybe a professor, or they would be a single parent. Maybe there's a pair of twin children and a toddler, and the toddler is super wild. The military parent may have a hard time handling the little one. For the twins, maybe one of them is really creative and into building or art or music. Maybe they are somewhat messy or something. The other may want to be just like their military parent, and they like things neat and straight-forward. (There's a calendar from Get To Work that might be perfect for this.) I just think it would be fun! Just some suggestions though~

Aesthetically I can understand why they might not give you the ability to change the windows and doors in apartments but if they just gave us like a drop-down menu that loud you three default settings that were different wood tones hallway palettes it would be better. I like Penny pizzazz apartment for building but the hallway is so run down and shotty and motel is an ugly but I don’t like playing in it because it breaks realism if there was maybe even a menu that similar to equal lifestyle there are three different versions of the apartment in three different stages of quality it would be better.

I would love to see your idea of a alien sim living in a house/apartment or a trailer trying to blend in the world. They have wacky and buzzard items that they pick up off the street and nothing matches but they love everything they find and has a purpose. Maybe the traits could be Good, Kleptomaniac, and Childish
