Unfortunately like this couple, a lot of people don't seem to have any. So yeah I agree, you may have to actually go up to them and remind them yes they exist and you can get them in today's society.

I hope the show gave the defendants some complimentary birth control on their way out. Making arrangements "just in case" you have another kid and want to put it up for adoption. You can't make this stuff up.

it's a scam. the pregnant couple makes a ton of money out of this. They get several...or even 10 couples.....to pay their ""expenses"" ...usually around $10,000 each. They rarely have to give the money back....so that's up to 100,000 a kid. Cheers anyways!

@@anaromello they're not, you're right. That's why it's a scam in the US now. The pregnant parents line up several to a dozen couples and tells them all that they're getting the child if they pay all their expenses....usually they get about 10,000$$ per couple. When the baby is born, they tell all but one couple that they've changed their minds, they're keeping the baby. The couples don't know each other, so they never find out about each other. The pregnant couple can get up to $100,000 per child. Disgusting!!

How irresponsible!! Getting pregnant when you know ahead of time that you don't want the baby. It's not only irresponsible, it's immoral, even more so using the child as a means to gain financially. The defendant and her boyfriend are hideous! The least you can do is give the money back if you decide to keep the child!

I can't imagine the heartbreak the Plaintiff's felt. I know money doesn't equate love, but a mother and father who always put the children's needs above their own does. This defendant is a grifter. She sounds too well-spoken and has experience in previously adopting out her 1st kid . Does not sound young and innocent. Selling her kids for rent and probably anything else she could milk out of these desperate folks. I wonder how many kids she had and adopted out since this was recorded (looks like 20 years ago). So sad.

Horrible, horrible people to do this to a childless couple, this was obviously a scam right from the beginning, she had no intention of giving this baby up and just wanted money and to do this to a couple yearning for a child reprehensible. The only good thing about this is that they now have their faces shown and will not be able to do this again.

There are people who cannot have kids or STRUGGLE to have their own (gays, infertile/sterile couples, single people, etc.), and meanwhile this mother is a living clown car. Judge Judy once told another mother “some people should take tests before being allowed to have kids,” and this woman is a PERFECT example why I’d support that.

My sibling adopted my niece. Unfortunately, there are ppl who are never pregnant and scam and even ppl who are pregnant and scam you. They went thru an agency and they too had to pay themothers expenses. Some of it makes sense like medical expenses, maybe even food also makes sense, but even if you are pregnant or not, you still need to eat and somewhere to live so it's kind of unfair the amounts adoptive parents pay. Some ppl turn themselves into a baby factory just to keep having their expenses paid.

It's an easy case. The defendant took money under false pretenses, and doesn't want to repay it. She should be ashamed of herself. She should have just repaid the money and we wouldn't be here.

It's a risk couples take. If the birth mother changes her mind theres not a lot they can do. No one forced them to support her financially.

I’m wondering since the defendants can’t be sued for the money back, they got all the money they could from them. And may have sold the baby to another couple for a lump sum. The defendant is only 20 and has had 4 babies already and only kept one and that baby was from a previous relationship . They’re not married and not working and are on welfare . They should be investigated. It may be a baby mill. It’s a shocking case

I know someone who adopted TWO babies from the same couple. Then they got pregnant again & tried to give up a 3rd baby. They realized this was nothing more than a scam & refused 💔💔💔💔

That's only a thing in the US where it's legal to buy and sell babies. It's a consumer society and huge business. It will never be banned because the baby buyers are the wealthiest people in society and the agencies make so much money. The joke is on the baby buyers though - no normal person is going to get pregnant so they can sell it to the highest bidder. Buyers get to deal with all the problems that come from people like that. We are our dna. No sympathy.
