Exactly. People who don't feel the Desier to give a simple thanks (Grace) are usually people who feel they are their own. They have forgotten Gods sovereignty. It just annoying to see people only approach God when they are in need, once they recive what they long for they forget. And hardly turn back to say thank you.

@@careztv3720 It's all about how she grew up. when I was growing up my older cousins(8 years older) used to throw parties on New Year's Eve, I was the tag along, so I didn't go to church. Thank you so much for stating this. God bless you!!! I am honestly up to here anoyyed with people like Jeenie. Stating I'm Christian but there is nothing godly about me. I'm sorry but if you've been redeemed and saved most importantly... you have to follow through with the way you live your life!!..

I always enter the new year in the presence of God, whether it be at church or we just stay home and pray. I am so happy to see these ladies also know about it because in some places, people are like what? Aren't you going to a party? I want to start the year with the Lord leading. I am low-key giving a side eye to Jeanines version of being a true believer of Christ, except she is not, then I understand. If she was my friend, girl iron sharpeneth iron, we talking about staying strong in the Lord. Seems like Jeanine may be nursing her heart with alcohol

Sometimes I really wonder about Jeannie lol. Like I understand she likes getting lit but, idk sometimes her lifestyle doesn't reflect how she "praises God". Like using God when he is convenient.

I go to church on New Year's Eve. Thank God, Loni and Adrienne and even Tamera, explaining Watch Service! :)) To each their own, I get lit afterwards but when that clock strike 12, I am praying and praising God with my fam in church. Thanking God for keeping me for this year and bringing me into the new year. I can get litty afterward. Watch service is litty in a good and appropriate way. Like Adrienne said, it is concert, singing and have a good time :) love to all and have a good and safe time for the holidays Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and New Year's Eve and New Year's Day :))

Jeannie low-key belittling religion. She came across slightly condescending. She is proper trying to enforce liberalism (and in my opinion self-destruction) ho ha on us. Like for real?!! If you can't have fun without alcohol, than YOU my friend, have a personality issue! Period. You have to have alcohol all the time?!!! For real. (Do i sound condescending now?... good)

She's specifically talking about new years eve and being sober. And there is nothing wrong with liberalism. I thought Christians weren't supposed to be judgemental???
@shocomoco18675 жыл бұрын
mahsa06 - Really? Are you watching the same video, or are you just taking the mick? She is clearly judging with her facial expressions and her condescending demeanour. So you really can't use that argument. Otherwise you all need to practise what you preach. Statistics on liberalism explains itself. Feel free to look it up.

What does liberalism has to do with this video?
@shocomoco18675 жыл бұрын
100thdegree I am talking about the philosophy of liberalism, the theory of it. Jeannie is clearly a liberal. Feel free to do your independent research and compare it to the divine. :)
@candi78065 жыл бұрын
@@mahsa065 If you read the bible. You will find that you can judge with sober judgment. In other words if you see something fake that might serve as a stepping stone for others then confront it with the truth. Unfortunately the truth makes many non practicing "christians" uncomfortable.

Don't be... anyone who acts like Jeenie. Are so evidently Godless. They not Christian. Your actions should be the ones testifying that Jesus lives in your heart not just your mouth. Words are completely useless and vain when the actions don't follow up.

Being a Christian doesn't mean she's practicing salvation, HUGE difference, it's on thing to BELIEVE it's another thing to ABIDE by those beliefs, clearly she isn't she just said last week she was having sex now and that's a sin outside of marriage as well so she is really in a scary place with God whether she realizes it or not...let us truly pray for them all.

I don't know how Jeannie never heard of such a thing as NYE's service. Almost about every Church does this. Some of them go on past midnight. Or end at 10PM to give people time to ring the NYE at home.
@katekamerun15505 жыл бұрын
I grew up going to Church on every 31st night...its like a tradition. There is always a concert that keeps us entertained untill 12 am then the Pastor prays and so does everyone and then we sing the "Peace be with you all" song and everybody goes home. My mum made us believed that it was a must to be in Church when it clocks 12 am on a NY. I guess that was her way of making us go to church on that day rather than roaming the streets. I remember one year my cousins and I sneaked out of the church to go play on the street and then we forgot the time and it was almost 12 am when we realised it and we were not in Church....I had never ran so fast in my life. We were speeding through the streets to make sure we get into the Church before it clocks 12 am on NY. I enjoyed every bit of it. I still go to Church when I can on NY if not I go down on my knees and say a little prayer. So Christian Jeanie what Church do u attend because I believe most Churches have Services on the 31 eventhough u are not obliged to attend.

I’ve been spending New Years in church on purpose since I was 18 and now I’m 32. My mom told me how you start your new year is how your year will be. And I always want to start giving god my praise now I did go out afterwards and partied but I started it off with him.

Question. How many non-minority members have heard of this or do this on new years eve?! I've been going to church my entire life and am a Christian, but have never heard of this practice. I'm white btw. Just wondering if it's specific to maybe the African and latino cultures. It may also be a denominational thing. I'm church of christ. I love the idea though, maybe I should find one in my area this year.

I for one can see why couples would break up around that time. For one thing, they just went through Thanksgiving as well as Christmas and maybe all that time spent together made them realize they didn't want to spend their lives together. Holidays can be incredibly stressful, with all of the family gatherings, gift buying, decorating, on top of having to work and pay bills. There's so much to deal with at that point. It makes sense.
@tatiannadaniel4965 жыл бұрын
Everything you just mentioned is apart of life. If the relationship is so fragile that bills, family gatherings, and buying gifts is enough to call it quits, then I guess it is for the best that a couple goes their seperate ways.

Wow nice to learn something new! I think Jeannie was just very surprised cause she has never thought that the New Year means something religious for so many people. It's interesting to hear though. I'm a non-religious person from the Northern Europe and ever since I can remember I've gone outside to see our neighborhood's or town's fireworks with my family. It's just an amazing feeling when the clock hits midnight and the beautiful fireworks go up all around you. Sometimes we light our own fireworks and sparklers. Fascinating how many ways there are to celebrate this and how we all have our own traditions, and are kinda unintentionally blind to anything else.
@MajesticMyronn5 жыл бұрын
I believe it’s true that couples break up after 12 hits ! Like once the clock hits 12AM... the fireworks go off... you guys say happy new year and kiss for one minute then BOOM 12:01AM hits and you’re like “ By the way I think we should breakup “ I think that’s the most hurtful way to start off the new year
