My dad was in the army and my mom was on a trip in Korea and friends introduced them even though my mom could only speak Russian, and my dad proposed to her a week later from a Russian dictionary!❤️ They spent 3 years waiting to get married until my mom gathered enough funds to move to America, and they got married the day she came back.

My boyfriend asked me out earlier this week. We had already gotten very close as friends these past few months and in addition to showing all the signs that he liked me, he began to want to spend every day with me and see me all the time. Being in denial and having low self-esteem, I didn’t think there was any way that he liked me at all. But he treated me so well and accepted all my physical contact (beyond friend-level). One night, earlier this week, he and I were sitting on the couch in my place and staying up late. I had been making a lot of comments that were kind of direct and showed that I really liked him, but I hadn’t said anything explicitly stating so yet. He had to leave but he didn’t want to. He just kept sitting there and there was this different mood. I felt like something was gonna happen so I acted. I asked him what he was thinking about and he paused. Then he said nervously, “I don’t know, I like you.” And then he smiled and looked ahead. After my jaw dropped open a bit, he quickly said “as a person”. I had to fish the rest of the confession out of him at the risk of making things weird, but it found its way out in the end. Then I told him the whole story of how I came to like him and everything has been snowballing from there. I had liked him for a while and then tried really hard to get him to like me, and it worked well. I’m happy! Yesterday he didn’t want to leave me so he spent the night. He was so respectful of my space.

October before last I had caught wind Through the Grapevine that he wanted to take me out on a date, and I just didn't know him very well so I said no and through the grapevine he heard it that I had said no. Fast forward a few months later it's March and I saw him at church after he had been missing for several weeks and I said it's good to see you back in church, and then he just ask me out he said if you ever want to go on a date with me the offer is still on the table. And I said I don't know. And then in may we ended up going on our first date together for my 18th birthday and he was so sweet and he got me a wonderful gift. And now March 2019 we've been married for 4 months! And I'm loving it!

My grandpa apparently made these cards, basically stating his name, profession, phone number etc, and handed these cards out to women he saw and thought was pretty. He would give the card and say something like "I would like to introduce myself to your family if you please." Apparently, at the time the women immediately understood that he was trying to court them but do it in a family approved way.. Grandpa says he has been to 30 houses, met families and never really liked any of them before meeting my grandma. Grandma saw him and said yes at first sight. It helped that grandpa was very handsome and had a great job, he was an engineer. Grandpa sees her walking down the street, gives her the card, her dad calls the number to say "Ok, come over so we can meet you,", grandpa meets her family before even knowing her name and proposes. She says yes. Weird and creepy by today's standards. Apparently a super gentlemanly but kinda hot power move back in the day...

I met her during summer school i was graduating highschool a year and a half early i sst down on the first day i was alone i didnt know anyone i looked up and two tables down this beautiful girl with blue hair was looking at me (she swears that we looked at eachother at the same time) i smiled and she like twiched and turned away for the next 45 minutes we kept pretending not to look at eachother but clearly looking at eachother and as we where leaving i was telling my friend loud enough so that she could hear me 'GEEZ TRANNICE I FEEL LIKE SO ALONE I NEED FRIENDS' i swear idk how this made her talk to me this blue haired girl comes up and says as i was walking 'i like your boots' i was wearing yellow docs 'i like your hair' 'i like yours too' i turned to my friend trannise and said 'i guess i found a new friend' we've been inseperable since and heres the first date I learned over the days that she LOVES disney and she goes to the arts school for theater tec i figure out our local theater is doing a showing of beauty and the beast also its pride night (yeah we're lesbians) omg she died i got awesome seats it was so fun she cried and over dressed for it and annoyed the hell outta the theater tec people there it was apperently the best date she'd ever been on im planning our proposal now im kinda broke but ive been working extra hours and i think its going to be at disney world during this summer

My parents met at chruch. My dad saw my mom and fell in love right away. It was during his first week in this new country and guess how he learnt the road in this new place : by stalking my mom. She was in her last year of High School and when he found the courage to say "Hey Rosina, you're really beautiful. I would really like to get to know you. Would you go on a date with me ?" My mom said "No, you're ugly and creepy" Thank God, she changed her mind 2 months later 🙏😂
