@@RichardHan What sounds harder to your "ears"? 1. Masters Degree in Mathematics or 2. Masters Degree in Statistics?

Math and physics students at UTSG usually take MAT137Y or MAT157Y for their first year calculus, which are more theoretical, analysis based versions of MAT135/136.

rsm225 is actually not bad! I think the biggest downside is that the mark breakdown tends to be very heavy given that there is only one assignment, a midterm and a final and the final was worth 50% last year. but the content isn’t bad and it’s actually a really interesting course if you’re looking to learn about business law :)

I remember many years ago as a grad student I had to take this final year pharmacy's full-year course called Systems Pharmacology where it's basically a speedy recap of all drugs from head to toe, their mechanisms of actions, toxicity profiles and the physiological systems these drugs dynamically interact. The course was a compulsory course for all pharmacy/pharmacology students as well grad students. Tons of difficult drug names to memorize. The course was taught by a few profs and the main prof was infamous for churning out very tricky questions. The class average was perhaps B- to C+. There was once during a final test, a student sitting not far from me suddenly collapsed to floor, and was quickly dragged out from the exams hall. A few more then left the hall half the time presumably traumatized by the earlier event.

Another bird course would definitely be the SDS ones!!! The course name is Queer Popular Culture, and we mostly covered LGBTQ+ contents and readings regarding those. I took SDS279 last semester and I didn't study much to get a 100!!! What we basically do is just make one annotation every week for the readings, and post four discussions posts, two original ones and two responses, then you get full 55% for the course. Writing a course playlist and 100 words regarding why we choose this song and how it is related to the course then you get 10% more. Prof gave every one of us full mark of 10% for participation even I only went to class for twice :)))

Great video! I will point out that few GGR courses do have math in it. GGR270 is a statistics course (very similar to ECO220 and STA220) so it will involve a lot of math but it is a great course taught by an amazing professor!

Incoming Life Sci first years, read that. Dude's 100% right about BIO130 and ECO101. BIO130 is birdy-ish as long as you somewhat understand the content and that you're good at memorizing. ECO101 was hell though, test questions are weird unless you entirely understand the course material. However, I would say he's 50% wrong for MAT courses. MAT135 and MAT136 are birdy for me (got a 94 in 135, just had test 1 for 136 and it was free). I say 50% because how you view the course will depend on 2 factors: the coordinator and how good your HS math background is. I'm from the French system where, if you decide you're gonna do Life Science, you're set for 5h MAT / 5h CHM / 5h PHY on average per week, and these are only the class hours, I don't count the work at home. So I was fairly good at those things. Also, I had the coord everyone hates for MAT135, Bernardo, and I found the course birdy, but since MAT136 is half new and half review for me, the way I view this course could've not be the same if I had him as a coord, as there's a new one. For CHM136 I don't know what he's talking about tbh. CHM135 was birdy, and for CHM136 we just had TT1 and it was free-ish. Again I had some orgo background in HS, but I know people who do well without, you just have to understand chemistry.

As an incoming life sci student from Turkey, I am planning on taking MAT135 and MAT136 in my first year. What is included in French system's math curriculum of high school? I do also take 8H Math every week and we already learn about limits, derivatives and integrals in grade 12. Hence, I also think they will be birdy for me but just wanted to be sure.
