As an American, I continue to become more and more frustrated at the double-standard of rules. If we have rules, they should be applied evenly for ALL. If the laws are no longer applicable, then they should be removed from the application for ALL. I'm sick of the elites getting whatever they want.

Not sure why some people seem to think that a “spousal” visa is automatic and unconditional. My British husband applied for a permanent residency visa many years after we married. He had to fill out the forms, get a police record report, see a doctor for X-rays, etc. Getting this visa for my husband was a lot of work and hardly “automatic “ or “unconditional “.

He did it before , and he has more than enough money to allow him to do it again , and again , and even supply his friends . I would say his propensity to do it again was extremely high 😮

When Harry attends the Coronation in the UK perhaps DHS should be waiting for him at the airport upon his return to US with drug test kit ready to use based upon his own words and suspicion of current drug use.

Maybe he lied on his application form, maybe he didn't, maybe he never even saw it and let someone else fill it in - which I think is quite likely because he can't seem to do much for himself other than rant about his own victimhood. The thing is, he is developing a track record for blabbing his "truth" without thinking about the people he may be implicating in that "truth". In his book alone he's done this to the "older woman" he romped around with in a field, causing her to have to go public before she was identified and lost her own story to rumour. He's done it to Courtney Cox by revealing the 'mushroom' component of her fridge. He's done it to our security here in the UK with his ill-advised comments about his Taliban kill score and now he may well have done it to US officials by putting them in a difficult position if - and it is only "if" - they knew of his prior drug use and bent a rule for him. It wouldn't make them right of course - the rule should apply to Harry just as it does others - but it wouldn't have been discovered had Harry not run his mouth - again. The trail of disruption that lies in the wake of both Harry and his wife's "truth" grows longer by the week.

I have a friend in Florida who is elderly and her son can’t cross the US border because of a drug (pot) was found on his person when he was 16…..he is now in his sixties and cannot go visit his ill mother who can no longer travel…..

My first thoughts on this - I wonder if this is why his 'Instagram loving bitch wife' got him to add these details to his book (or at least didn't stop him adding them) in the knowledge it could get him removed from the U.S. thus providing her with the excuse to dump him. Harry's legal standing on US soil is established in the terms of his visa. He might have some form of special privilege visa, but otherwise his British titles count for nothing in the USA. Harry is a British citizen married to a US citizen. He has stated he has no intention of applying for US citizenship or even US residency, presumably to evade US income tax. Meanwhile, Harry is battling for IPP status. That would grant his family of four a privileged diplomatic status. Any country in which they live will be required to foot the bill for their security. Currently they all live in the USA so that would mean about 8 million per year in US tax dollars.

I wonder if Haz will bail on coming to the coronation because he may not be allowed back in to the US

If they are only going by his action in 2001-2002 he'd be 17 - 18 at most. The offences in 2015 and 2016 are FAR more significant, in particular because they involve cocaine.

So either he lied on his application and said no, or he admitted it, said yes, and they let him in anyway while not allowing millions of others in. Either way somebody is responsibility for giving some accurate answers on why he's here and allowed to stay, wife and kids or not!

I think the argument against Harry is undermined by the large number of self-confessed drugs users in music and acting who freely move in and out of the USA.

Back in the 70' I moved to USA with husband. Both had green cards. We applied for citizenship as husband's father was a US citizen. We were deported immediately because we applied for it in the US and it should have been done in Canada. We ended up, after a long time just forgetting about it.

Perhaps she filed his visa, and if so, there may be cause for an investigation of how this application was handled with regards to using loopholes or supplying inaccurate information or bending the rules to suit the successful outcome.

Many years ago---say 1966-7---my grandfather and father wanted to sponsor my grandfather's nephew who wanted to come to the US to go to college. The paperwork, financial affidavits, etc. needed to get the young man here, in addition to letters attesting to his character, and more----it took almost two years to organize and then get approved by the government. On the Sunday before he was going to leave his hometown, he went with his mother and siblings to Mass. On the way out of the church he was shot to death by a hired killer----the girlfriend and her father hired the man to kill the boyfriend. Why? The girl believed he'd never come back for her. The girl and her father got life in prison. Behind many of these visa applications there's a story---a human story that never makes the news but goes to show the lengths that people will go to come here or try to prevent someone from coming to the US.

As a person who has been called out on my past stupidity,🤦🏻‍♀️ I've learned that lying doesn't get you far, unless you have a legion of people that can smooth your way to the top, however you fail to realize that they are consequences that lie and wait for you, especially if you don't expect them I've had a tonnage of consequence's where it bitten me hard, and I've learned to behave much better than in my past which doesn't define me, however if you don't learn it's a mistake they're going to wind up like the character in that book Man without a country. There is nothing automatic about getting a spousal visa. Yes you are admitted as a spouse but there are plenty of conditions you must meet to keep it. There is a waiver for certain criminal acts after 20 years but that does not apply here as he has admitted drug use and drug seeking conduct. If it hasnt been declared he will have been lying if it was then the homeland security will consider this and all of those papers are public in the united states. He will now need a good immigration attorney

I'm American. I believe that Harry has no regrets, or guilt feelings, about his drug use. I feel strongly that he has the "propensity" to continue his drug use & increase his use (out of hubris). With the current illegal immigrant + drug smuggling problems in this country, I think the "entitled, privileged" Prince should be prosecuted fully as an example to all.

The decision should be re-visited. He is not a United States citizen, so he does not have the same rights of a United States citizen. He is a foreigner. Send him back, sent him back, Send him packing, sent him packing, sent him packing.

It’s shameful to hear the U.K. enjoy such corrupt and vile actions on their own citizen let alone a Prince shame on UK

I mentioned this Harry visa situation to my husband, and he assured me that Harry was allowed into the US regardless of his drug use - and there’s something else: Harry has NEVER, not even once, and will NEVER go through customs like most everyone else has to, when he’s flies into & out of the US, due to who he is, regardless of ANYTHING else. (IF he wanted to, he can travel with whatever “items” he wants, he is never checked, and does not have to do other things that the general public has to do concerning customs, including WHICH AIRPORTS he flies into and out of, etc.). There’s a lot more to this than what most of the public is aware of. It’s complex, I can’t explain it all here, but my husband told me what’s supposed to happen, how they get around it, which is “normal” for someone like Harry, and it’s not exactly a secret, just something that most of the public is not aware of. And yes, it goes against the law, but Harry, like some others, does not have to follow the law. The US govt cannot apply the law to him now, even if they wanted to, despite public pressure, because IF they did, it would open a big can of worms, and it would not only be hurting themselves (the US govt), but it would also reveal others like him, to whom the law does not apply, and it would cause public outrage. They’ve been doing this for a long time, and aren’t used to being questioned or called out. They do not care whether he’s using drugs or not, and don’t care if he’s traveling with drugs, he is a “trusted” person. There ARE different “rules” for people like Harry, the law does not apply to them. The people who allow & facilitate this will never admit it or allow Harry to be held to the law, because these same people enjoy the same “freedoms”, or they are people who are beholden to those in that position - it would ruin it for too many “important” people.

More to the point, if he was given a visa due to 'extraordinary ability' or some such, that alone should be questioned. My nephew is a photographer and got turned away at the border because he had cameras with him. If harold has extraordinary ability in anything other than being a fool, then I am a monkey's uncle.

All this shows is that no matter how stupid we thought H is, in reality, he makes the average 5 year old look like Einstein.
