Courtney Dauwalter loves candy, ice cream, and beer...oh and she's a champion ultra runner! She's the definition of 'Minnesota Nice' and has been tearing up the ultra scene for the past few years. She's won a handful of huge races such as Western States, the Moab 240 and holds the American record for most miles run in 24hrs, 155 miles! We talk about overcoming hard moments in races, why she loves the ultra community, and we both trip and fall :)

All the stupid goofy feminists don’t even realize who this amazing woman is. And I as a anti-feminist (pro human man & woman) TOTALLY bow the knee to this young lady BECAUSE SHE IS AMAZING and deserves the adoration. She doesn’t demand it based on political BS. She is an actual woman. A co-ed dominant athletic runner. So cool!! And humble to boot. Btw nice interview. What you’re doing is impressive!

I love her! She's not even super athletic or super serious about her diet or anything. She gets through by pure grit. The amount of suffering she can withstand is what allows her to beat the men who train like crazy for these races. Everything is psychological with her. She shows that a strong mind can beat physicality. She's a very interesting person and she has a great personality. And she still holds the record for the Moab 240

The great thing about refusing to quit, is that by doing it there is no time left to spend at anything that will pull you down. That's why it feels way easier when you do the right thing because there's no time left for worries. Feelings and emotions are only meant to be felt, which means the focus should for the most part be on our thoughts. Sitting down always makes things worse. Always.

I've always been into fitness in one form or another but just started running regularly a couple years ago. 10+ mile trail runs through the CO mountains kick my ass. What Courtney does really inspires me to push because I see her push. Pain schmain, keep going.

I recently "discovered" Courtney and she seems totally awesome. I also wanted to say that I used to run on this trail with the xc team at Mines!

When you do videos, I'm in awe over the scenery. All I have to stare at is the Pacific Ocean all the time. Bummer huh? Seems like CO is ideal for all types of cycling/running on gravel.

Wow, wow, wow!!! This one is your best yet. Both you guys are fantastic motivation. Anddddd I'm still heading out to Colorado mid June to meet up with my friend who lives in Brighton Co. and going to Salida for the festival and then off to Cali. to hang out with Court at Western States. She is so modest and motivating. Thank you so much Ryan for these vids. And maybe you can get Anna Mae Flynn on board to hang with you for a day. Take care Ryan and maybe I'll see you in Colorado.

I totally do this when I run, try to get to the next tree and then the next and so on when it gets tough, it really helps making little checkpoints on the road, till you get to the actual endpoint!
