After giving 4 years following Sunderland around League One, I can promise you this ground is excellent. Take yourself off to Wycombe, Oxford United, Bristol Rovers, or Cheltenham and you'll soon see the difference. That's what struck me last year in our first away game against Bristol City. Looking at Ashton Gate and thinking "At long last, a proper modern stadium".

Gana be honest. I like the smaller teams "stadiums". I follow Gateshead too. I love going to all the mad old grounds. It is abit different with Sunderland though. As we get alot more support than Gateshead. So it's a worse experience following Sunderland to the small grounds over Gateshead.

@@Mashmarriner69 Thanks for reply. There were plus+ to League One. There was none of this tribal nonsense you get in Premier League, fans mixed well in pubs etc, and cheaper tickets. I am a SAFC fan who now lives in Midlands. I've been to watch Solihull Moors a fair few times and the standard in National League is very good with all the teams now gone pro. In fact, National League North and South seeing some teams go pro as well.

Agreed son. I enjoyed visiting a few of the league 1 grounds. Met some nice fellow opposing fans and found the smaller clubs more welcoming to be honest@@Mashmarriner69

As a Sunderland fan. I wasn't looking forward to this one. I predicted a 3-1 to Coventry. I'll take a veey fair 0-0 at Coventry, against a strong Cov side any day of the week. Especially since we haven't been Cov since 2007 and haven't won ay Cov since the 80s. 😂👍.
