Guy is a natural born finisher, one of the best we've seen in years. And he has scored some incredibly important goals since being with us. A real Sky Blue legend in my eyes. That being said, time goes on and he might be surplus to requirements going forward as we progress therefore won't play as much, I think he might need to realise that. But take nothing away from him, although some fans don't make it seem that way, we are incredibly grateful for all that he has done in a city shirt.

The last player we had to score more than 50 goals was Gary McSheffrey (72 goals). Gyokeres only got us 42 (ok over 2 seasons). At the start of this season (2023-24) he was the only striker finding the net!. He is a talent, and one I would like us to keep.

Man is a Sky Blue legend to me - the speed of thought and reaction just underlines his class. Given his muted celebrations on Saturday I think he has been told he is on his way out. I hope we don't live to regret his departure - but I guess we will. Best Wishes Matty and thks

How many of these goals were match winners or started a come back. A lot of them! I fear he's on his way out and given Simms and Wright are not clinical finishers we'd be stupid to let him go....but what do I know .. Robins has been a master class and knows what he's doing....in Robins we trust. Thanks for the big important 50 goals over the years Matty....hope you stay and get to 100 but if not don't come back and score against us!!!

Club legend , got a decent contract at the start of season and will play his part as a rotating front line . If not unfortunately he will have to move on but great club servant and an exceptional finisher

I hope we can keep him. He would have converted most of the chances that simms and wright have so far missed. But in the end i guess it is down to money and other players coming in. We should get a good fee for him if he is still under contract

I agree. Godden has been amazing for us. However not starting must be killing him, shame though. The way he didn't celebrate and genuinely looking a bit upset, I'd say he may actually be off to Oxford (commutable from.cov or wherever he lives, or he just didn't want to rub salt in but why not celebrate 50 goals). Shame if he goes though, really is. But he will definitely smash league one again if he is off down there. #supermatt
