Been waiting for someone to talk about Ray Davis. My favorite pick in the draft. Quick feet, Patience and Vision beats a 1 trick speedster all day in my book. I'll take the fifteen and 20 yard gains all day, over that 70 yarder from the speedster that comes once in awhile. He gives me Frank Gore Vibes. See a hole hit the hole fast. Oh!, and as for the our Screen Game to the RB's, Josh needs to sell it way better lol, and he doesn't gain enough depth, and he gives up way earlier. That's my only criticism of my boy tho ❤. Why not steal a few plays from the best screen teams 🤷🏿‍♂️

I’ve been waiting for KZfaq to give him more love also. Love this in depth look. How he lasted to the 4th round is beyond me 🙄.

Ray's literally tap-dancing, love that false-step/double plant move @31:10 . I probably would've just crumbled in place trying to stop him, lol. Great pick, awesome complementary back for this offense! Love the receiving skills, vision, and patience. Kid's really gonna shine wherever he goes, I for one, ...am sure glad it's here. Welcome to Buffalo Ray, looking forward to the highlights my man!

Hahaaa, I was honestly contemplating this earlier picturing Ron Dayne and Tiki Barber, ....except you know, James Cook and Ray Davis, lol. Damn, ...it even rolls off the tongue nicely! 🤣

Great comment Ant on Latavius Murray. I loved his ability to block, catch and was the guy when we needed a yard.I think he faded a bit down the stretch but we didnt think Harris would be out either.

Everybody wanted that large bruiser back to compliment James Cook. That Brandon Jacobs type RB but IMO that would've become too predictable on offense. Granted Ray Davis and Cook are BOTH versatile RBs, I still think Davis adds a level of physicality in the run game without showing the defense what we're gonna do. The problem with adding a large bruising RB is it tells the defense what we're gonna do. Our offense becomes too predictable. Put in the large RB, and we're running straight up the middle or he's gonna pass block. Davis and Cook become interchangeable without giving away too much and that expands our playbook without showing our hand. I thought Davis was a brilliant pick to be the compliment for Cook.

Thanks, guys! I have a feeling he subplants Cook before the season is over

Wow......the Cook disrespect is insane! I feel like theres been more criticism of Cook after a 1500+ scrimmage yard season than all four years of Motor combined. Singletary had the same number of fumbles as Cook thru his first two season. Cook was the most productive non-Josh offensive player on the team even with the drops/fumbles. I think Davis could be a really good complimentary back, but i struggle to see McD making a Rookie RB the lead back and Cook taking a massive step back

Woah there Nellie!! Let's give James Cook a chance to at least not excite us first, before we go jumping all in on the rookie, lol. No seriously though, I think Ray Davis may be the perfect complementary back to someone like Cook. Davis has power, and short yardage advantage, as well as being an excellent receiving back. Whereas Cook has explosive speed and cutting, that HOF vision and patience, and he plays bigger than his size. He's also a natural receiver, ...don't let a few drops fool you...he has very soft hands. There's a reason the Bills went after Cook, he's the perfect fit type receiving back for the offensive scheme we run, which, let's be honest, ...relies heavily on the pass attack. With Josh Allen and James Cook on the field, the defense never really knows which play is coming, run or pass. And I see Cook continuing to excel behind an improving offensive line, with Ty Johnson and All Day Ray coming in situationally, or just to rest Cook. Can't wait for this season to start. And Davis was an excellent selection, I bet he makes a splash in the first few weeks of the season...

For me with Claypool ,is he a guy willing to block, is he willing to run all his routes like he's the target receiver when he's not primary. Will he play special teams full speed? If so I'm on board

I love this video just disagree with one sentiment that he isn’t a homerun hitter he isnt caught alot and he played in the vaunted SEC Barry sanders wasn’t a blazing speed guy but had so many long runs. If the ball gets out of the stadium it gets out doesn’t have to land in the cove

Also i have to make a correction barry ran a 4.37 so that’s home run fast. I guess jerry rice would have been a better example whoops

Ray Davis is A LOT more compact than Cook. He's not "just a little" bigger than Cook. He's A LOT more compact. Being 3 inches shorter but weighing almost 30 more pounds. To put that into perspective Maurice Jones Drew was around 5'7" 210 lbs, Zack Moss is around 5'9" 210 lbs, and Ray Rice was around 5'8" 205 lbs. Davis has almost 10 more lbs on Jones Drew, Moss, and Rice. He ain't small.
