That's not a bad thing to do. I use to do that. Get the weight off the tires and suspension.

I have a conundrum. I didn't know to put the outdrive down until having the boat almost 11 years. When I raise the front so it's at an angle and raise the outdrive so the "keel" is about an inch from the concrete, I'll notice it touching a day or two later. Can that cause issues with gears, etc? I lower the front to raise the outdrive and it keeps happening.

@@therosses5 i would just lower the front till the lowered out drive is 2inches off of ground and block center of keel at back edge of transom. then raise front jack till its a good angle to drain water. helps to prevent the bottom of boat not to form a hook in bottom . if its touching just the springs settling and sagging. should not hurt gears. or block both back corners.

I've never had issues with mice. You want the lower end down so the bellows are not under stress.
