Whats the dot above some of the tab numbers at the top? some kind of accent maybe? whats the technic i should be doing

that's a staccato. Note should sound puncuated, or strictly, it shorten the note rhythm at half it's value always

@@CoverSolutions word. Just didn’t know that was how it was notated for bass. I play guitar and am picking up bass for a band that asked me to.

@@dylanhoward4899 that's how you notate it for all sheet music, not just bass. Lots of tabs don't have accent markings but cover solutions goes one step beyond!
