I love running gravepact in the deck. With a zombie dying after combat it's an automatic include for me. Also, it can be fetched with beseech the mirror.

Like this type of brew instead of stupid counters and board wipes nonsense. A real deck that has board presence and shenanigans at the back. Nice deck CGB

I like board wipes because some decks go all-in on the "empty your hand as quickly as possible and swarm the board" strategy. Or "play a bunch of mana dorks and one huge threat/commander" strategy. Which is just as brain-dead as sitting with counters, doing nothing and praying(!!!) that the opponent doesn't play cavern of souls. Decks like this one, meaning decks that have it all - board presence, interaction, card-advantage generators etc. - are the most satisfying to both play and play against.

No Feed the Swarm especially with the Tutors seems missed! I feel like that card is just a must-have for mono black. Would've gotten that Bitter Reunion off the board in the Narset game too. Super fun mono black aristocrats pile!

Oh for sure. I'm so happy for lions fans, they deserve all the incredible joy this season, no doubt. It's insane how well the lions have burst onto the scene and made the jump this year. A coworker was saying the other day that all they need is more work on the defense and they're suddenly arrived (knock on wood), and a contender, I think. Really exciting shit, this team!

I was surprised to see you're not running grave pact in this one CGB. The synergy w/the zombie tokens can make the game unplayable for any deck that can't quickly remove it.

I do not understand making a Jadar deck with Beseech the Mirror and NOT putting Gravepact in the deck. Beseech can even put it right on the battlefield! Some decks just can't deal with Gravepact well and Jadar makes fodder every turn that can kill itself if need be
