You forget just how good Hucks could be when he was at his very best. It's a shame he wasn't more consistent, I think he definitely would have been in with a shout of getting a call up for England. 97-98 was easily his best year of his career in my opinion.

Moldovan was a fantastic striker. I'll never forget the goal he scored for Romania against England. He would have scored a lot of goals for CCFC if he'd been given the playing time. But Strachan had no idea how to use him. Loved this CCFC strip.

It was my first away day at Villa, and what a game. I don't remember Soltvedt having so many chances, to be honest, but I remember how the City end went NUCLEAR when Moldovan scored. Never heard a celebration like it. Then the referee added about 10 MINUTES injury time, just to see if Villa could snatch a replay. 🤣
