I'm 62 born and raised here on my fifth generation family farm in TN, only place i ever lived, seeing the milking barn brings back a lot of memories, can hear the milk cooler and the paddles and compressor clicking along as you boys do the milking, the dairy barn is long gone now and me and my brothers have about 50 beef cattle, raised tobacco and sileage back in the good days of the 60's and 70"s and early early 80"s, still do all our hay baling. thanks for the memories.

the whole family was out and doing their thing today. You went in and helped your brother with the milking. Who was the heavier set guy toward the end of milking, helping with the clean up. I enjoyed the video. I think I like the ones with you in them more. thanks Trevor for what ever you video and bring us alone. Your brother got a name?

Wow, if the inside barn part of milking the cows takes me back almost 50 years. I started on a nice free stall operation where my stepfather milked the cows only to go to a run down old farm my stepfather bought and lost 8 years later. But i learned how to work hard with no money. And now retired after a life of construction, i appreciate what i have. Looks like a fresh white wash of the inside of the barn .

Hutches were the greatest for calves. I farmed in central MN and at first I was hesitant to put them out in - degree weather, but with a nice straw bed, they never had any problems.

If you run a drag across that dirt ground every now n again it will keep the manure from building and give them a nice place to lay . And if you need some good top soil you know where to go lol . Nice farm men !!

How often do you need to wash the calf buckets and change the water change the calf water?
@IndianaFarmBoys
@IndianaFarmBoys 10 ай бұрын
Depending on if the calf puts feed in the water but usually once a week or sooner if they get dirty which happens more times than not.
