Thank you Tom Pemberton for allowing cows to be cows, it's such a beautiful sight to see. My neighbor has one of the largest dairy farms in Maine, his cows never set food in a field, never get to graze fresh grass. Much respect to your family for doing it right. God bless you all.

That was the best part. I live in US, in Kansas, dead center of the US. Cows are everywhere, and pigs, goats, chickens, and horses. In every pasture there are cows, big, fat, healthy cows. I love watching the calf’s run and jump. We eat beef, but only from places that provide a HAPPY life for the animals. A life as close to natural as a captive animal can be. Watched this joyful event myself many times in spring - my dad was a farmer - when the cows were let out in the fields after a long winter in the stable, eating hay. Cows running around in the field, jumping up and down, tails in the air, happily mooing. We called it the 'koeiendans'; Dutch for 'cow-dance'. If ever there was a happy cow, it was in spring during the cow-dance.. ❤

Looked to be a great turnout and the cows didn't disappoint. Loved the Allis-Chalmers. I live in central Kentucky, USA 50 miles from every major bourbon producer in the state. Grew up until I was 12 on a Holstein dairy, tobacco, corn, soybean farm. Sold the farm in 1978 my father and uncle opened a steel fabrication and farm equipment repair business and have been in business 40+ years. Their hobby is rebuilding old Allis-Chalmers...they bleed orange. Love your KZfaq, helps to keep farming relevant in a world where most people think that food only comes from the store. Keep up the good work. It is obvious you do it from the heart.

Fantastic!! Seeing the crowds of people going to the farm just to see cows go into the fields for the first time since the autumn is a joy to behold. Many of which are fellow subscribers, so it is nice to see your faces and smiles and I send you a friendly wave from Japan! The most wonderful thing of all, is seeing the cattle's excitement and then the cows approach the crowds, almost as if expressing their appreciation. What a wonderfully simple event this is that brings so much happiness to both human and bovine. Kudos to all those behind the scenes that work hard to make this event possible.

Started watching when you let the cows out 3 years ago, this is always the best day of the year. Love the way the cows put on a show for the crowd, by running the whole length of the people watching.

All animals deserve to be happy. Even livestock. It’s nice to see them so happy. We all die some day. Doesn’t mean our entire life should revolve around it.

Cows are good kids. Full of love and hugs, and many kisses. People tend to forget that cows have been adapted along side humans almost as long as dogs. We are very capable of reading cow body language, and cows have been bred to love and look up to people, to be friendly, and also bigger and juicier. All cows should get to be outside the majority of the time. I live in Michigan and we have like, three families in the south west area where I grew up that provide a lot of beef to local stores, and I've never had a problem with them. They are some of the happiest cows and sheep you could see, all day and even night sometimes they get to roll in mud, eat all kinds of yummy things, move about as a herd. They have a LOT of space too. No problems with local wildlife either, they get a long pretty well out here. Coyote attacks rarely. And you don't see it too often in the beef industry, but some of the cows are artificially inseminated here, and some they let them do it natural style. You can hear them for miles lmfao.

My family had a summer farm in Wisconsin. We only had one cow who wintered over at the neighbor's dairy farm. Letting the cows out of the barn at the neighbor's after the winter was a big event. Everyone gathered by the fence to watch them leap and cavort around in unbridled joy. I liked to help undo the stanchions because I'm claustrophobic, and it was such a relief for me to see the relief in them. Then we all got together in the yard for a big country potluck. Why am I crying?
