It's a strange coincidence this song was getting a lot of radio play in May 1996 when the big flood in Timmins, ON occurred. While not a true disaster, it made quite a mess none the less. This same weather event washed out a bridge near Terrace Bay, ON so all east-west traffic had to go the north route on Highway 11. Another 1990s story.

The bass and guitar working off each other in this one are as good as it gets. While not a fan or gratuitous cursing in songs I always add in my head " I'll get his ass in the end"

Common Disaster sould me on this group - never had heard of them prior to this album. Touched me to the core and aided my healing from life...Vietnam, and other stuff. Only seen them a handful of times, each encouraged me to maintain a healthy balance. Love them.

Right on, Art. I thanked Margo after a concert for the way their songs had helped me through some tough times. She replied, "Thank you! That's what they're for!" You could see her joy in helping was absolutely sincere.

@stopthephilosophicalzombie90173 жыл бұрын
@@w0mblemania there is good music but it is harder to find. Pop music has become unbearably simplistic and overproduced. Check out Rick Beato’s videos on the subject. He’s a veteran producer and has seen the scene change for the worse for over 30 years.
@w0mblemania3 жыл бұрын
@@stopthephilosophicalzombie9017 I used to listen to Rick -- not really a fan of his style/approach -- and I get what you're saying. But to be honest, I'm not even really talking about pop at this stage. Pop is... pop. It's always filled with junk, in every generation. Rather, I'm talking about the rest of the industry. There is some really stellar stuff out there.

Greg Lake has always been a big inspiration to me, but it still blows my mind that he is playing a eight string bass set up as a 12 string type situation first and only one I’ve ever seen in my life Simply amazing. just for the record, as one of my best memories ever, I was at Cal State jam 74. forever burned in my memory banks, peace, everybody and happy salutations

I've gotten to where I can't stand listening to the same, constant audio sewage that gets defecated through the airwaves from today's commercial rock radio stations. I heard this song on 91.7, a public radio station in Dallas. Wow! The singer is like watching Maria Shriver sing. The nice thing about KZfaq is the idea that most that go to a song are fans of that group. That being said, I'm sure anything I would say about this group, it would be agreed with. I'm just glad I found this. Thanks 91.7.
