Making Perfect Yorkshire Puddings to go With Roast Beef is all About Getting the Yorkshire Pudding Batter Mix Correct and Cooking Them at The Right Temperature . How to make the perfect Yorkshire puddings every time. Recipe link below this description.
Ingredients :
To Make 8 Yorkshire Puddings :
2 eggs
2 Ounces of Plain Flour
1/4 tsp Salt
15 ml of Olive Oil
60 ml Full Fat Milk
Method :
Beat the eggs in a mixing jug with a fork or a whisk.
Add the flour and mix with a fork to form a thick paste.
Mix in the Olive Oil.
Add the milk and beat vigorously to form bubbles. The more milk you add the lighter the Yorkshire puddings will be, up to 60 ml
Let this mixture rest in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
Using a Yorkshire Pudding tin or a muffin tin, put 1 teaspoon of olive oil into each pudding mould.
Heat the oil in a preheated oven @ 200 c for about 5 minutes so that the oil is hot but not smoking.
Remove the oil from the oven and quickly fill each mould with approx. 1 Serving Spoon (60 ml) of Batter Mix.
You want to fill the moulds to just about half and you should have an island of oil floating in the middle of the mix. If there is no oil floating on top then they will probably be misshaped.
Put the tins back in the oven and turn the temperature up to 180 c. (Fan)
Bake for approx. 20 minutes , so that the puddings are well risen and a golden brown colour.
'You should get an Island of oil form in the middle of each tin when you pour the batter mix in .... '

My grandfather and nana told me that this was the recipe I had to pass down to my children. My ancestors came to the United states on the Mayflower. It seemed so important to them that I took it to heart, and been making it ever since. Now my daughter's are eager to learn.

I will try this recipie since I am British anyhow, I have tried the usual pud way in the past. Since I don't have those type of pans, I shall use a small muffin pan. Now I just have to find the oven conversion for Celsius. Thank you so much for the video's you do I have saved a few . :)

Thanks. Excellent! Just tried your recipe. But I use an Air Fryer. I did not put Olive Oil in the batter, but used Vegetable/Rapeseed oil, as I heard somewhere that if we heat Olive Oil too high, it becomes toxic. The other money saving tip is, instead of getting the oil hot enough in the Yorkshire pudding trays in the oven, I just heat the oil in a pan on a stove first. I find it's quicker and more energy saving. I then spoon the hot oil into recycled aluminium pie trays and spoon the batter into them, then bake for 10 minutes. This method worked well using an Air Fryer. Best Yorkshire Pudding recipe ever! Thanks 😊😅😅

Glad you liked it , incidentally, there is no risk with olive oil becoming toxic (who told you that?) I do have an Air-fryer version of this video on my website, probably something similar to what you did ! Thanks for your comment Jon N

Man, this was a bore. I thought that there was another kind of Yorkshire pudding in which the drippings of the pan, cooking the beef, were used in abundance. That sounds delicious to me and I want to know how to make that sort of Yorkshire pudding. Its the meat juices that make this meal interesting. SHOW ME THE OLD FASHIONED GENUINE RECIPE I HEARD ABOUT

Put eggs in the jug then zero it out on your scale and add 60 grams of flour. Save yourself the mess and cleanup of another vessel. Plus you won't screw up your scale with flour.

You know what would separate your video from others ….Nevermind! You just did it. As an American I want to say ty for dumbing up the measurements 😂. Grams, ounces, Celsius doesn’t compute in baking. We say pounds, cups, teaspoons, and tablespoons. Oh and Fahrenheit.

Audie Marie Mine, Too. In fact my mom was going to make Yorkshire pudding for us and had bought a roast w extra suet toothpicked on. We were all drooling awaiting our favorite dish when my younger sister trying to help mom took the pan of beef/ suet drippings and put it in the sink w dish soap and started cleaning the pan. Of course when we all saw what happened a great cry went up!!!!! Whenever we used to have it again, we never forgot to remind her what she did!!!!

Never use any oil - Lard is the secret and it must be smoking before the mixture is poured. Don't forget the gravy and that must be made from the roast meat juices.

@astrinymris9953
@astrinymris9953 4 жыл бұрын
British puddings and American puddings are completely different items. What we call pudding, they call custard. What they call pudding is all over the map. It can be what we'd call a bread, or a cake, or even a meat dish. It can be savory or sweet, it can even be a generic term for dessert. #DividedByaCommonLanguage.
