Shit analogy. It's an accident. They have their lives too. Don't you respect the animal kingdom and food chain? Hunt to live but not to fictitiously curtail an alleged problem. New subdivisions are a nuisance to coyotes so if they lie in wait and snatch babies you're cool with it? Since we're not considering feelings here, coyotes don't feel a disparity between a child and a coyote pup. It's all relative, right?

Folks who have lots of sand in their vagina. Like, sand castles are falling out as they smash on their keyboards and type their ignorant, inflammatory remarks. That's how much sand is jam packed up in there. Imagine how uncomfortable that must be. It explains why they're always upset and whiny, doesn't it?

I really appreciate seeing the attention that is paid to muzzle direction, example at 4:12 one of the hunters is walking back to the other two, while he's not paying too much attention, the walker was about to walk right in front of the rifle, the guy on the rifle first moves the rifle to the left and as the guy continues to walk in he points the muzzle down into the dirt rather than let the guy walk directly in front of it. I was a hunter safety instructor for many years, paying careful attention to what is going on is what prevents accidents, that little demonstration made points with me.

For those complaining about only hunting for food you really need to educate yourself on the balancing act that modern hunting plays. If we only hunted edibles there would be too much pressure on the edible animals. If we only hunted predators, then there would be an out of control population of deer, and elk, etc. Besides, when I shoot a coyote, we don't waste much. The skins make fantastic furs for jacket collars, mitts, and hats. The meat is ground and cooked up for dog food. Te guts feed the little omnivores that inhabit the wood lands. I haven't figured out what to do with the bones yet. I know of many ideas, but all take artistic talents that I don't have.
@zanevankosky40538 жыл бұрын
Or... We could let the ecosystem balance itself. If we kill no animals. There would be a balance. To many predators means little food. Little food means the predators die off. The predators die off the food will repopulate. It's a cycle. If we play a part in this the cycle is gone
@XLC-zd8dn8 жыл бұрын
Zane Van Kosky Yes man was never a part of this cycle in the past 200,000 years. We just magically had food fall on our plates and farmers/ranchers never had to use any land that wasn't a part of the overall ecosystem. Really!!! As much as you like to think we are not a part of the natural circle of life you are sorely misguided. The only difference we have is that we have learnt that we can be too greedy and we have to balance our actions with conservation. We are not perfect at it yet but in many ways we have seen huge successes despite some failures.

Actually, every state's wildlife commission relies on hunters to control animal populations. The number of hunters has been declining in recent years, which is a big problem. Perhaps it's the spread of liberal ideas which are anti-hunting (yet they don't mind eating meat from the grocery stores) and all the laws and regulations designed to limit or stop hunting. In Massachusetts, you can't bow hunt on Sundays. I guess bows make too much noise.... I just joined a fishing and hunting club and am learning how to hunt, and I'm teaching my little girl to fish and use a bow... eventually she'll learn to handle a gun. These are essential skills. My liberal friends are appalled -- you can imagine what they're like here in the Northeast, "oh those poor cute deer!" Of course they're all catching Lyme disease around here because of the deer ticks but they are still against hunting, go figure.

Yea this shit is weak. For one thing I'm not a big fan of killing something I'm not going to eat, or more specifically purposely baiting and luring animals to shoot that I don't intend to eat. Aside from that though, if your going to do it do it proper. Take clean shots, be mindful of your back stop and take this stuff seriously instead of giggling like a school girl and shooting wildly. It's just bad for the sport.

It's a well and good to bash people who legally hunt. It's proper management. Coming to a neighborhood near you because the deer population is so high from lack of hunting management. The Eastern coyote population spikes. Then one sunny morning... An eastern coyote is following your wife who is out jogging with your 6 month old in a jogging stroller in your suburban yuppy neighborhood. The coyote is trying to figure out a way to get to your infant. Your wife has no idea she is being followed / stalked until another person jogging says "Wow... Your German shepard is beautiful." I don't have a dog That's not my dog!!! That's no German Shepherd!!!! They yell at it. It veers off and walks back into suburbia unafraid and a little smarter. It might have Better luck next time... Watch you small children & pets. This is a true story...

The only DIRT NAPS I think was happening was you guys laying in the field!
@jimmiizzy62839 жыл бұрын
How far are these shots? It was fairly poor shooting in my opinion. If you can't hit your targets, you shouldn't shoot or you should wait for a better spot. These dogs all seemed to be coming in and they didn't look to scared; they would have presented you with lots of other or closer shots. But you guys seemed too quick on the trigger and kind of trigger happy (I judge that by the way you shoot at the running targets). The kill rate on the running targets seems to be very low. You have a better chance wounding them and missing them then you do at killing them, but you blast away anyway. I understand what you are doing, but I just think that there are better, more honorable ways of doing it.
@TeamRadical9 жыл бұрын
jimmi izzy Def. appreciate/understand your comment. However, we certainly aren't perfect nor scared to admit it. We do sight in our guns to make sure we are accurate as possible, but sometimes we miss. The coyotes running away have already been educated and as long as it's safe we will fire. The ammo we use is DRT ammo. Check it out. Notice all the coyotes shot (hit), dropped dead in their tracks. Very difficult running camera equipment/hunting them at the same time here in Illinois. They can make out the hunter much easier with multiple ppl. along. Anyways, check out our other coyote videos and best of luck to you!

jimmi izzy Couldn't agree more. Probably the first time I've felt sorry for the animals while watching a hunting video on youtube.
@jimmiizzy62839 жыл бұрын
David Taylor I clicked on the video because it was named, "Dirt Naps". It seemed like a name that would be given for people with an immature and disrespectful attitude toward the animals and toward hunting them. I am not anti-hunting nor anti-killing, but I just think that killing these awesome creatures is something that should done with understanding, respect, and maturity. But with shooting coyotes and often prairie dogs, people often like to blast away at them like they are crap animals with no worth or rights. It wasn't the worst video ever, but I thought that they could have done a better job representing honorable hunting.
@coasterforcedivvie9 жыл бұрын
jimmi izzy I never even noticed the title. I was just clicking through videos like I normally do. You're right, Dirt Naps (had to google it) is a horrible title. Makes it sound more like an old Ogrish or something. Not cool. I'm on the same wave length as you; I have no problem with hunting (to an extent), but this video seems a little disrespectful in my opinion. But you're right, not the worst video by far (maybe makes it worse though :/ )

You've never held a rifle, have you? Headshots are not easy, and animals move their heads more than virtually any other part of their bodies, increasing the likelihood of a bad shot.
@minecraftguy0107 жыл бұрын
***** quite frankly i myself do have two rifles and i understand that headshots are not easy, but if you don't have the ability to put a clean headshot onto the animal then you aunt to call yourself a hunter! however the fact that the man then started to spray his bullets all around the coyote backs up our point that this man should not be hunting until he can hit an accurate shot !

Lions like this aren't really a dying breed as the media wants us to think. Where I live (Interior BC) it is estimated that there are 2 lions per 1000 acres. Seeing that these animals can travel up to 20 klicks on a daily basis they have our whole valley covered! In fact, many lions have been forcibly domesticated by urban sprawl and are now coming into cities and scaring the local public (we had an instance of them stalking children at a daycare)! Now because of this it is permissible to hunt these animals (with special permission from conservation officers). In reality, it makes sense when you think about it.

***** The thing is, if I was behind the gun, I wouldn't have pulled the trigger because I'm not impatient as fuck and irresponsible for shooting while the animal was running. This people MUST go to jail. The animal could of moved closer but this bitch has an itchy trigger finger.
@maverick23779 жыл бұрын
***** I forgive hunters for simple mistakes, but this was no mistake. They tried to kill the animal while it was running, no one was forcing them to do that but their down syndrome.

LeoM23 That's what they are there to do, kill coyotes. What's wrong with trying to kill it on the run? Im sure you could have done better.

Just a note to those who watch these videos, just so they can make lame guesses and assumptions...If you "leave nature alone" it will surely take care of itself. I can assure you, however, that if nature does take care of itself, it will do so with disease and sickness. It will not be discriminate as to species, health of herds or packs, and it will most likely cross over to domestic livestock and animals, such as dogs and cats. Hunting is a better way. It is quicker and more merciful than the alternative.

Gregg Gause one of the best posts I’ve read here. Thank you!

Gregg Gause , I worked w the AK F&G dept for 25 years & due to proper game management the game populations in America are higher than they have EVER been. Damn shame these stupid bunny hugger libtards dont bother to check the FACTS before they shoot off their stupid mouths. But, to be a libtard the first requirement is to be ignorant AND brainless.

i need some help. I need to hunt coyote by my family's home is in a mountainous and heavily forested area. It is a municipal area so i can only use small caliber riles. whats the best way to hunt coyotes in a heavily forested area in a mountain region. I have all the calls and know about their extreme sense of smell (to the point i have baited them within eye site) any help will me most appreciated. If i got money for killing them id make a career out of it
@TeamRadical7 жыл бұрын
start off soft calling in case coyotes are real close. the last thing you want to do is call really loud and bust them out of the area. Pay attention to the terrain and wind direction. Almost all the coyotes we shoot try to get downwind. Our goal is to get a shot at them just before they hit the downwind side of us. Hope this helps, best of luck.

Hey Nick take a good look at about 4:15 the guy sitting on the ground is manipulating his rifle with his friend walking right into his kill zone. Then he lazily points the muzzle down as his friend passed right in front of him. Never checked to see if his rifle was clear

I like guns better than cross bows... I am 14 years old and me and my sister both shot a doe with a crossbow and we never found the deer we hit the deer in the right place right on it's lung and the crossbow did not kill it... Yesterday night I went to my uncles land and shot a 200 lb doe and I shot it with a muzzle loader with 40 grains of powder and we found the doe about 100 yards from where we shot it and the shot went right threw both of the lungs... I will never use a crossbow again lol
